Those are VERY good customs. :rock

I hope SSC can figure out a way to do the real fur thing on Chewie and figures like this if they ever get around to them.

Looks like he just alterted the Hasbro versions. Thined out the Wampa, perhaps a new body as well. He just added fur to the Taun Taun. Looks good, but nowhere near the price he wants. Just go to Wal-Mart and get some fake fur for under $5 and do it yourself. The Wampa is a bit more impressive to me at least.

This is the seller I bought my Chewie from. He does a fantastic job at furring. I'm very happy with what I got from him and I can't imagine having a 1:6 Chewbacca that doesn't have real fur. The only thing I really would like to see him do is thin the head a bit and add some more articulation.

The wampa sure is tempting but he isn't that high on my want list.

how the hell do people make this stuff?!? i can see sculpting custom heads but making these figures with real fur and stuff is insane. they look so f@#*ing accurate too. not toy or doll like. they should be working with real toy companies.

These kinds of things usually don't translate well into large-scale production, so I doubt their skills would be of much use to toy companies.

The wampa looks pretty good, but I'm not so sure about the Taun-Taun. The Hasbro Taun-Taun is actually pretty impressive to start with, and he's basically just added the real fur to it and done a little repainting.

Thats a pretty impressive looking Wampa, although I've always liked this Hasbro Upgrade shown on RS:

When you get tired of that beauty can I have it? FREAK that is the most incredible custom, no matter how many times I see it. Someday . . .

I agree. this is an incredible custom figure and even more impressive in person. I know some have made the comment that real fur just doesn't look right but after getting this I wholeheartedly disagree.

I said it before, this is not a perfect Chewie but Mark is just a few tweaks away from it with what he's doing.

His choice of material, color, layering technique and the added ease of being able to style his fur with a misting of water is perfect. Once he figures out how to add some needed articulation to the hips, elbows and neck and make the head a bit more slender then he'll have the perfect Chewie.

I actually think the Tauntaun looks really good, better than the wampa. A better paint job on the face is all it needs; I think the fur looks much better than the plastic on the original Hasbro.

That Tauntaun is really starting to look good dangit. Must...resist...

I'd love to see it in person. I like how he put frost on the fur too.

The Hasbro has good detail in the sculpted areas but the wire body stinks and he's too short.

This is the money shot right here:

I love that picture in the snow. Looks like a movie prop.

I was going to try and find a regular Hasbro Taun Taun and repaint it but after seeing this I may not be satisfied. Mark really did do a nice job on this.

I'm just getting a vibe from that Tauntaun that it might not look so good in person. I could be wrong.

In any case, I really like the Hasbro Tauntaun that it's based on. I have two of them that I got very cheaply on ebay.
