1955 Doc Brown Wins Hot Toys Vote

The people have spoken! 1955 Doc beats outs 2015 Doc, 44 percent to 31 percent. 1955 Biff got 12 percent, to wind up in third, while 1885 Marty got 6 percent.

We already know that Hot Toys is working on a Doc Brown. Will the results of this poll have any bearing on that project? Would you buy a 1955 Doc Brown?

Same. Doc as he appeared in the Twin Pines Mall parking lot, with white lab coat, remote control, and crazy hair would have done me nicely, and made a perfect pairing for this version of Marty.

Still, any Doc is better than no Doc, so I'll take it.

This is a pretty annoying result in my eyes.

Now we will get:

- Marty 1985
- Doc 1985 (guess why he was no option: he is already in works)
- Marty 2015 (who will be more or less an upgraded Marty 2.0 with hoverboard and AirMags)
- Doc 1955

Would have prefered a 2015 Doc as a second release. Maybe they should tell people what to expect before they ask what they want on top...

Yep, the polls seem to have no effect... only poll I remember having an effect was Sideshow's EU figure poll and we got that godawful Snowbunny Padme figure out of it. Moral of the story, voters make terrible choices

I'm quite certain HT already has a 1985 Doc Brown ready to go. Question is when to preview it based on when they have a slot at the factory. HT probably already knows when we'll see it.

Now you'all just have to sweat it out.

Since 85 Doc and 2015 Marty are not on the options, they must already be in the pipeline. If a 2015 Doc doesn't get made, it's probable one of the smaller companies will offer an unofficial clothing set for the 85 Doc's head.

On a side note, whatever happened with the Schwarzenegger poll a few years back?

I want the 1985 doc dammit! kinda ridiculous leaving him out of the poll as he is the most iconic version of doc to me anyways.

As others have suggested, I'm sure HT is already planning to do him. He's pretty obviously the most "iconic" Doc look. But I do love the 1955 look as well. Particularly if he had the crazy psychic thought device.

They put a lot of old age makeup on 1985 Doc, which is why they had the excuse that he had a bunch of work done in the future to extend his life and had him pull off the makeup, so BTTF 2 Doc certainly looks pretty close to 1955 Doc, but for the hair.

As far as the figure they are giving us, 1955 is great for all who want to create a giant diorama for the climactic scene of the movie.
