I really want to see that Arnie bust in real life because pics make his skin look too glossy or shiny. Does it look different in person? Maybe some pics without a flash would help.

They do have a clearcoat on them and the flash brings it out in pics of course. Here ya go. Here is mine shot outdoors in Natural light:

Great pics, Mike!!!:D Mine don't do this piece justice.

Awesome score!! Looks like you may have gotten an artist proof.

Really?? Any more info would be helpful.

Yes!!
Soo cool, so they were selling this stuff at the signing?

We got really lucky that they were. I also got a whole set of bobble heads from T2, HCG endo-skull, and the Aoshima T-800 endoskeleton. Great dayy all around.:D

AR-Ballistic: Thanks for the pics!! That is a beautiful piece. Some day.....

DarthJuan: If I was at a convention and somebody had that for sale.......I'd probably have to buy it. Seeing that for sale "in the wild" had to be pretty cool. I bet your heart rate sped up.:google

Arnie bust look realy good...and flying killer hunter... both is my most wanted it!!! lucky man!!

Can anybody help with this. I've heard 2 stories about it. One that's an artist proof or that's it's a prototype.

It's neither a ARTIST PROOF or PROTOTYPE its exactly what it says a SAMPLE. This piece was sent out to prospective buyers to show them what was coming down the pike. Now what I think is a bit more effort may have went into the paint apps to really show off the piece. Other than that... thats it. Its the same piece that was released as the limited 750 run. If it were an ARTIST PROOF it would say ARTIST PROOF and if it were a PROTOTYPE it most likely would say PROTOTYPE.

Actually, if it were a proto it would probably not say anything. The info is usually not printed on the base with protos.

A sample is used for all sorts of things, including giving out for reviews, giving to large clients, or using at shows for displays. They are usually identical to the regular run, but are outside the 750 edition size.

You very well could be right about this. Although I have seen pieces marked prototype but I guess it could go either way on that. Display at a show definitely makes sense too. One thing is for sure... if you are sending out a sample piece for a prospective buyer to look at it better be one that the paint apps are done as good as possible.
