Yikes, that must not be from CRM... both time they released him it was the same, but (I think) a different basebody.

Definitely not feeling the new one... he just doesn't seem as refined as the Crime Cure version. But I do like the addition of the **** and balls statue :rock

Hey, anyone notice anything odd about the sellers PZ?

Namely the black arm... never seen that before. Wonder if its a fake?

EDIT and the shirt is the wrong color and the head looks kinda small...

makes you wonder about the CRM toys?!?

Don't know the answers for the PZ anomalies, but didn't the CRM Alex have bendy fingers?

I find it weird when collectors get bent out of shape when a toy sells for a lot of money, and then calling people "retarded" for spending it. To me its a great sign for our hobby. I'm sure most people here don't collect for money but hey there is a small part of us that hopes something we own goes into the grand or more value. In fact I hope a lot of things I own get to that point, it's a good safety net. The problem is this stuff can only raise in value if people are willing to pay that. If say if you can afford to spend 900 dollars on an Alex or an Apollo figure I say good for you.

For those of you poo-pooing these figures, I gotta say you're dead wrong. The Travis Bickle is amazing--not $900 of amazing, but certainly your $250-$350 range of amazing.

Not only does Bickle come w/ a sticker of the "We ARE The People" pin for his jacket, he comes with a 1:1 version as well, AND a khaki colored jacket and plaid shirt from the beginning of the film.

The Alex paint app is a little flat, but I've seen him repainted by board members and he looks phenomenal.

So I would hafta agree...

Wow. The Alex sold for $900. And guy that bought it just paid $600 for a Toys McCoy Indy days before. That's f@#kin nuts!!!

I can see the need and absolution for the $600 plunked down for the Indy figure, but for Alex? Hey, I want one myself, but around $150 (provided I have that at the time) is my tollerance.

I wonder if that guy is from a "normal" income bracket like what I assume most here are in, or if he's a bucko rich lottery winner or some hotel heiress' steady stud of the week.

i would love to have one of those clock work orange figures. it's on my list but. i will wait .It will pop up on ebay oneday again. that alex with the sun tan sucks. artoftoy has some great custom piecs but that would not look that great in my collection .

Last one I saw for sale was almost one year ago for almost same BIN price. (been searching eBay regulary for this one)

Looks like people are more willing to part with their Patient Zero than their Alex (despite the killer prices and more alex figures out there)

Maybe the new "suntan" Alex will look a lot better as final product.

Good luck to all of us little brothers :)

I thought you guys might fing this interesting. I was playing with my CRM Toys Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver and I noticed two things:

1. He's wearing boxer shorts, which I never noticed before for some reason. Having boxer shorts enables you to do the "You talkin' to me?" mirror scene properly with this figure.

2. His ass is stamped © HOT TOYS. I don't believe the Alex or Jack bodies are stamped, but it's nice to know that I wasn't paying for a old, crappy Dragon body! :D

Thats interesting, I didn't know they used Hot Toys bodies... but it seems right since older HT were all bendy hands.
