Wow Slovenia really screwed themselves by not getting one goal. They were through until USA scored. Big gamble to take, and they lost.

England won, so they'll now become the greatest team in the world again and the flags will reappear on the houses in my street that removed them after the earlier games :lol

If England play Germany in the next round I will leave the country because the xenophobia about "the war" and the 1966 tournament that the tabloid media will inevitably do their best to stir up ( not that they need to ) is sickening.......it makes me ashamed to be English.

As far as I'm concerned all that stuff is ancient history and England should move on and stop hanging on to old grudges.

Glad to see England move out of the group stage with the USA. :1-1:

lol @ England for not winning the group though. :monkey3

England vs Germany would be one of the better Final 16 match-ups I can remember. At least as far as the pedigree of both clubs is concerned.

I was at the edge of my seat during the last 10 min. What an intense match.:google

Only football (soccer :rolleyes2) can create these kind of emotions IMO.

On goal difference only :pfft:

Ghana's Jerome Boateng and Germany's Kevin-Prince Boateng are half brothers
So it's Brother v Brother today.

They have not spoken to each other for a month as they have had a big fall out after Jerome criticised Portsmouth midfielder Kevin-Prince's controversial FA Cup final challenge on Michael Ballack, which forced the Germany captain to miss the tournament.
