Inception was far more of a challange. To edit a movie like that, and have it make sense is a HUGE task.

Inception has won everything it clearly deserved.

There were no cool transformations, a land called Pandora or some crazy shoot out scene -- that couldn't have been a good movie, at all.

I'm not quite sure what you're saying....most of the intelligent people here didnt want Avatar to win....

It clearly deserved it for effects, but TSN was much tighter on the whole when editing is concerned, and that is why the latter took home the hardware
