2023: Your Favorite Figure of the Year

How was collecting for everyone this year? Personally, it was a dud for me with the disappointment of the rotj 40th. 2023 felt like a year of fomo. Lots of figures I like, but don’t necessarily love. Out of all of the preorders that went up this year, I’m only getting the 3 ot releases. Who did you get this year? Who was your favorite?

I agree. The Rotj 40th was so sparse, it's sad. It seems HT's previous Rotj releases signals they've already had very little planned except Vader and Scout(s) and bike. Maybe anniversaries don't mean much to them anymore?

My one purchase in 2023 Aotc C3PO. Only figure I wanted and I am happy!

A lot of retailers get their figures much later than everyone else, hello Popcultcha. I def got Echo this year.

The one I enjoyed getting the most was BoBF Fett, he's just so well done, paint was amazing, issues aside I had the most fun with him

If we're talking strictly Star Wars, I haven't bought too many and my BOBF Boba and CAD Bane are on payment plan, so I won't see those until the New Year.

For me, it's:

1. Hot Toys Mando Luke simply b/c it gave me the chance to upgrade my DLX ROTJ Luke from the head, the boots and the hands.
2. Hot Toys AOTC R2D2. After having so many blunders with the Sidehow versions, this new version was a dream come true.
3. Hot Toys TCW Captain Rex. Not sure if that figure actually released in 2023 but that's when I bought it

Mars Toys Joker for me. Shelf presence, sense of fun and colour it has in spades. Three amazing head sculpts and all for a very good price. I Honestly enjoy it more than my InArt Joker 2 pack and that's crazy.

Besides the figure of my wife (she lost 30 pounds), the InArt Joker is the best figure this year.
