Got Praji yesterday. Was too busy for pics. But I am as happy with this figure as I am with any of the Sideshow Star Wars figures. Even the holster doesn't look as silly as was thinking it might. It looks pretty accurate to me, just based on my memory of the Imperial hoslters on those uniforms. As near as I can tell, though, the little coil for the blaster has to come off to put the blaster in the holster. I am OK with the loss of that detail and will just leave it off. If I ever get super-anal about the movie accuracy, I'll still have it to put on. The blaster is bacically another version of the Han Solo blaster with no scope. I like that blaster style a lot. But Some of the Imperials had the same blasters as the Rebel Fleet Troopers. I am confident that when the time comes, Sideshow will make sure the correct blasters are on the figures.
I like the cloth cap better. Obviously the sculpted plastic one hold it's shape better, but I just like the material match to the uniform and will futs the cloth one until it looks as good as possible. I will likely add some type of wire to the inside of it to help it hold it's shape.
The portrait falls short of perfection, but only just short of it. I would give it about a 93-94%. It is more the paint app not making the figure look real than a likeness issue, though.
The buck body allows for the pose I most want for now, a neutral pose with his hands clasped behind his back. Fortunately, Praji does not require the ability for any acrobatic moves. I am very curious to see what he would be like on the Prometheus mannequin, though. I very much like the gloved hands even though they make the sleeves bunch up a bit. That will be improved when I get a chance to remove them and put a rubber band on the cuffs of the sleeves to hold them in place while I put the gloved hands back on. That area should look really nice, then.
The costume is awesome. I sure wish I could have gotten a few more of these to customize (read: kitbash) a few more Imperial Officers. However, be careful with those tiny code cylinders. The "pockets" for those are open to the inside of the shirt. If you try to put them in without using the clips because you want to be careful not to break the clips, the cylinder will end up falling straight through.
If I come up with anything else, I will post it.
Edit - I came up with 2 more things. The pants have built-in socks. I have very mixed emotions about those. I like the pants to be full length just for the sake of accuracy, but I really like the way the built-in socks keep the pant-legs from riding up when you put the boots on. Also the boots are very nicely made and are a little softer than the regular Sideshow boots. They are almost as soft as the Medicom boots. To me...that is a good thing. It helps with allowing a little of the ankle articulation.
Overall I really like the Uniform. It is sewn nicely, looks great, and feels very durable.
