3.75" Collecting Thread

So Mandalorian gets two 3.75 inch vehicles and a major theatrical release gets one.

Technically, with Luke's X-Wing, they actually released two... but still, would have been great to see at least a couple more from TROS..

But, does anyone care about the new Trilogy stuff? Aside from a core rey or Kylo? Not trying to be a smartass, but really wonder. Not gonna turn this into a hate thread, promise, but I had such hope for the Knights of Ren. They all look cool as hell, but after seeing the movie, I could care less. Any if they try to sell me a book to fill in the backstory, I am gonna 'LOL'

I collect the sequel trilogy TVC stuff, yeah. I don't hate the ST and think the casting is great. I'd love TVC figures of Poe in his TROS Uncharted clothes, TROS Finn, Dark Rey, Hux, Pryde, TROS Palpatine (both versions), TROS Lando, the remaining Knights of Ren, Rose, Ben Solo, etc etc.

I will get another. I've never had two TIEs the same colour before. It seems necessary to flank the Imperial Shuttle ala the beginning of ROTJ

I find myself distancing away from Hot Toys due to the lack of interesting characters/pricing. I find myself not buying NECA as much also due to the unwillingness to drop $50 for a figure. Its funny I see myself going “there and back again” returning to my roots……3.75 SW figures. To be clear carded TVC

I am in the same boat. Hot Toys I get on occasion, but the 3.75 has the variety.....and affordable. Far as NECA, they do amazing work, but just not interested in every variant of Jason, Freddy etc

Didn’t know those are out already. Seemed like they announced them last week. That was fast. If you opened one, how is it? I don’t really feel like paying $70 for one, but if the reviews are good, I’ll probably cave and buy 3

As far as the display, it won't be an in-flight display - suspending stuff from ceilings is a little too scary for me. I sorta just want to be able to say that I could do that since I'd have the ships.

You can't go wrong with 2 of these large wing TIEs. Such an iconic ship and I've come to quite like the proportions even if the wings are perhaps a tad too big.

Yup! PT seemed appropriate, I’d add the OT Mural to this too, but I don’t think it would fit. So thus went with Vader as the Avatar.

Still will make a cool display! I’m like you, not brave enough to hang stuff from the ceiling. Too much work to do too if you want to make sure they are secured and balanced. I’ve used some 3M hooks to display some smaller vehicles on my shelves, like Jedi Starfighters, and even that is a pain to do to get it to look right.

I’ve never had 2 of the same TIEs either, so it would be nice to grab another. Have a POTF one, a Legacy Collection one, unfortunately a TFA FO one, and this TVC one. I might grab another now, your comments sold me

I'm amazed that we really just heard about this and saw initial pics, and now it's in my hands. I have yet to open one, but I hope to do so either tonight or tomorrow. I'll let you know my thoughts when I do.

I could never display my POTF2 TIE again.

Most of my Star Wars vehicles have been in the attic for 10 years but I took it all down recently - the POTF2 TIE was laugh out loud bad. The proportions are just terrible, even worse than I remembered. I also found it had turned all sorts of different colors and is undisplayable anyway.

I've actually been doing the same. Lack of display space for expanding my 1/6 collection and rising prices have turned my interests back to 3.75" GI Joes and Star Wars. Went full circle.

Man I hope that rumor isn't true. Hot Toys and other high-end companies haven't been making a whole lot that's interesting to me, so I've cooled down and got back into collecting 3.75" Star Wars - around when the Sail Barge was first announced.
