How consistent are the paint aps?

I just bought Harley from Amazon and am worried that she will look sloppy.

It seems like these are DCD's best ever work regarding paint aps. They all seem really consistent and both my Harley figures have perfect paint apps.

I think after seeing how great series 1 turned out I'll probably buy all of series 2... what the heck.

I really can't wait for series 2, especially since series 1 turned out so much nicer than the proto pics!
I have a feeling series 2 will look much nicer in-hand too just like series 1.

How consistent are the paint aps?

I just bought Harley from Amazon and am worried that she will look sloppy.

I've only seen Bats, Joker and Scarecrow in person but the paint on Joker and Scarecrow were just fine but on Batman, he had some little dark spots on him. I think this was mentioned in Michael Crawfords review too.

They are all fugged up, all you can do is choose the most tolerable one. I saw a Harley with way too much blush on. it stood out like a sore thumb. some have paint bleeding in 1 place but another will have paint bleeding in another place. or the legs are glossy but the rest of the exposed skin is matt. some batman's have darker skin like they are tanned. Joker is quite consistent, some have sloppy wash that doesn't bring out the wrinkles properly it just looks like he has a dirty face. overall they are superb for mass market. main gripe is that some portions on bats and quinn are glossy and not matt.

Well at least I wont be able to do a in-hand side-by-side comparison.

You have to accept sloppiness. All mine have sloppy parts, marks on Batman's chest, marks on Harley and Joker's cheeks.

But in terms of detiling, shading etc. these are closer to looking like NECA than DCD figures. I love them.

Jut got finished fixing up Harley. Arm swap was easy as pie but had some of the black belt on the skirt crack a little when I pushed her skirt down a bit so her underwear came out at the top like in the game. Had to touch it up with black paint a little. Not as smooth but looks cooler this way.

See around is belt? This is what happens hen you push down her skirt. the black cracks. Touch up spots with flat black paint and it at least looks consistent in color, though you will notice the cracks in texture. Stil though a worthy sacrafice to having her look closer to the game.


Arkham Asylum, and Marvel Select Magneto and Jugernaut have me totally psyched about small scale these days.

Cool. The only thing I ever really worry about is cross eyes.

I scooped them up a while back, both Deadpool red and X-Force variant. Very nice figures, I just need to find the variant Winter Soldier. Oh, it's a TRU exclusive not target. But I appreciate the heads up about these.

I think raymond went a little overboard with the skirt pulled down too low. maybe if you left her soaking in hot water the material would have been more flexable and the cracking could have been avoided.

I searched my TRU almost every day back in Dec hunting that red Deadpool/Warpath 2-pack and no luck I would really like to get him but no way am I gonna pay what they're asking for on ebay.

I think I bought both Deadpool set on ebay for $80 shipped, and after so I only saw Deadpool set instock on TRU twice but sold out the same day. BTW, what is the price on ebay for these now?
