Re: [RIP Workshop | 8-bit] JASON • JOKERS • DUMB & DUMBER • AoD ASH • UNCLE JACK

thanks jake. this might be my very favorite sculpt from Caine so far, though i have other favorites from him i have to admit :) it's a very, very clean, precise sculpt & casting which really helps a LOT.

i definitely think Caine will go far with his talents :)
It looks perfect man! He is only getting better and it's awesome to see both his and your progress as artists!

likewise buddy - when i get a chance to take some time and look through threads, i'm always amazed and inspired by the work posted at SSF.

thanks a lot - i am going to paint them (again) soon - i am holding off, beefing up my chops, before i go back in :) i find that sculpt to be difficult, but i think i should be able to deal with it. just trying to make sure i can do the best job i can on them for you guys :) it's the same thing with captain spaulding - i painted the original to match the sid haig's skin tone, but his skin tone is quite dark and not at all close to a TT, so i decided to redo them since i'm not tasked with retoning a body, which i'm in the process of doing. the tiny clown hat also has too many stripes sculpted, so the colors don't modulate properly, there's either two red or white stripes, so i'm thinking to putty over the grooves and redo the stripes (pain in @ss).

you ALWAYS bring something new to sculpts man, that Daryl is amazing- skin tone perfect, and brings out certain parts of the sculpture in new ways - excellent work all around!

wow, thank you sean. i appreciate that very much :) i love this sculpt and when a customer decided to unload their unpainted sculpt, i jumped at the opportunity. for a short time, i couldn't find the original, having thought i never received it, so a request to rick was made for a replacement. well, i found the original, contacted rick and he said just to keep it, paint it, sell it and pay you - which i did - i'm happy to somehow make it up to you that i still have that penguin :) anyways, i still have mine, saving it for a later date to paint and pop onto what will be my first personal custom i intend to keep - i'm thinking to go the Crossbow Warrior route as the head works out pretty nicely on that figure :) thanks again man :)
