i tried to take this sculpt backwards in it's intended timeline a bit to the moments after this guy was bit but before he fully turns...sort of that "why me god?" look or the 'get away...while...you still...can' look.

try some acrylic medium for starters - available in gloss & matte.

i use acrylics...do you mix colors with gloss? or just gloss or matte over colors? which i do, but dont get quite same effect as yours

the idea is to have as many levels of matte/gloss at your disposal as possible between your 'dryest dry' and you 'wettest wet'. generally i find this to be four fairly distinct layers.

Outstanding. Aside from the fact that your paintwork in general is fantastic, you imbue the eyes with such feeling a realism that it truly feels lifelike.

i think its done - i might futz with the clothes, but the head and hands have been repainted and i added a bit of blood to the lab coat to offset the huge areas of 'pink'.
