i'm posting this to show off this new piece of free software called Sofortbild. if you have a dSLR camera and a mac, you need to check this out. the live view function is worth it's weight in gold. did i mention it's free?

here's an example - nothing too illustrative i guess, just was able to get a nice clean photo and knew what i was getting ahead of time with more reliability than a tiny viewfinder or lcd.

haha, i might've said this before but when i originally quoted for these, i didn't realize the leather, buckles & rivets didn't come with the kit. totally my mistake as i'm pretty absentminded. anyways, i'm trying to find straps that're the proper width (i think i have this solved with a bit of ruled cutting) and 3 more buckles that can accommodate the larger width straps.

i'm foam-padding these in hopes the paint job will avoid abrasion. it's sealed, but still, i'd rather be safe than sorry here.
