Canadians and American's lost many loved ones 6 years ago. My heart goes out to all of my friends everywhere who suffered a loss.

I didn't know anyone personally, but my oldest brother, who was a DA in Manhattan at the time, lost a lot of friends. It affected him so badly that he had to get out of New York after being there for 15 years. The last time I was there (2002) I remember I was walking down Congress St. in Brooklyn and there was a loud crack of thunder and everyone outside just flinched at the sound and looked up to see if an air plane had crashed. Very sad...

Its very weird to think its been already six years. I remember waking up that morning and thinking I left the TV on HBO or something from what I was seeing.....

My thoughts and prayers go out to all the families that were affected on that day. It's hard to believe that it's been 6 years. I see the NYC skyline everyday on my way to and from work and from my home. There's not a day that I don't think about what happened.

It is crazy to think six years have passed already. I still remember it as it was yesterday.

I heard nothing about the incident that morning until one of my co-workers in the office walked through the door with a TV in his arms and started shouting about the twin towers.

As he took the TV to his cubicle and plugged it in, everyone just became surreal.

I was a freshman in college when it happened, only been there 2 weeks, I was already in a strange world, and this just made it even stranger. It was surreal, I'd been in class when the first tower got hit and no one knew, I went back to my dorm with no clue until I went up to see my friends and everyone was planted in front of the TV. I don't know anyone tied to people lost in the tragedy, but I do feel bad for everyone who died and those who lost people in such a terrbile event. I have very mixed feelings about post-9/11 actions within the country, but despite whatever negatives are there, I have great respect for everyone that did what they had to that day, that's having balls.

I was sitting at home that morning watching the Disney channel with my son when my wife called and said that a plane had hit the WTC. I turned on the news just in time to see the 2nd plane hit the second tower. I just sat there in disbelief with my 2yr old on my lap.
I went into work that afternoon and there was a surreal silence over the whole store. Since we are about 80 miles away there was a local company carrying donations to ground zero. I still have a picture that appeared in the local paper of us loading the truck with bottled water and non perishables and first aid supplies.
As far away as it seems I can't believe it's been six years.

Bless all of those affected by this great tragedy on that horrible day and all of those who are still dealing with it. May we never forget the price they paid. Much love from the HAPPY CAMP to you.

I was in my car on my way to college. Just listinening to the local sports radio like every other day. The weather guy broke in and said someone had crashed a plane into the WTC. I was thinking what idiot just flew his small engine plane into the WTC. I got there and went to the student union only to watch both towers come down. I'd say about 100 of us watched it as a matter of fact.

I was in the Hospital with my wife and newborn son. My mom called and told me turn the TV on. When I did it was a wide shot of NYC under a cloud of smoke and dust with Dan Rather saying "it is all gone..." and I had thought NYC had been nuked. I thought my brother was dead and collapsed, never been that freaked out with grief before.

It turns out he heard the first plane hit and he had a feeling that he should leave. So he grabbed his wife (who was also a District Attorney in Manhattan) and they hightailed it out. As they were walking towards the Brooklyn bridge they heard/saw the second plane fly over and crash. Once they got got back to their apartment in Brooklyn (which they walked to) the just sat on the roof and watched and cried. He said the next couple of weeks he attended funeral after funeral.
