Its almost sad to see how the careers of Tim Curry and Darly Hannah have bottomed out.

As for this, I thought Daniel Stern was dead, or went crazy or something like that...

Looks like it has potential to be better than the original. The Raimi series, er, Bob Clark version never sat right with me. So cheesy and outdated. This one looks closer to it's holiday roots.

This one already looks better. The reindeer outfit is much more realistic and grounded in reality than the pink bunny.

I know you're joking but I'm still utterly sickened!!!!

Okay, that settles it. Humanity is too sick to survive...call in Gozer the Gozarian.

How can you **** with a classic?!!??! Seriously!!! I mean it's played for 24 hours on TBS, which I love, this sihtbomb will be forgotten about in 5 minutes!!!!!!!

Please someone tell me im over reacting and that this a joke and is not happening!!

Well said Boba Ben :lecture

What really irks me is they'd have the audacity to include the Leg Lamp in the cover art. Clearly not even half attempting to make a movie that could stand on it's own merits :lecture

This movie never happened. This thread never happened. This post never happened.

*erased from memory*

If you love "A Christmas Story" don't waste your time with this straight to video release.

You should go straight to the source material the writer, Jean Shepherd.
He wrote numerous books with the same characters. Read "Wanda Hickey's Night of Golden Memories" or "In God we Trust All Others Pay Cash".

Better yet listen to this master storyteller on some of his old radio broadcasts that aired or WOR radio back in the 60's and 70's. I grew up listening to him spin tales every night.

Here is a link to some of his radio programs.

Here is a bit of Shep in concert.

"A Christmas Story" coming to Broadway as a musical. This looks like a bad idea as well.

Meh, couldn't care less if this movie gets made because I'll never watch it.

HOWEVER, if the existence of this film interrupts one SINGLE airing of TBS' annual "24 Hours of A Christmas Story" then heads are gonna ROLL. :lecture

they will probably play the first one and the sequel right afterwards for 24 hours

Damn that trailer was horrible.

I'm glad I have A Christmas Story on DVD - if TBS screws up the marathon, I can always throw that in.

:rotfl pretty much,
I hated the mom and the dad the most, the kids were stupid,
but the dad and mom were stupid and Pathetic,
I really really hate when a movie like this just wants to copy everything that made the first one funny,
