Maybe someone should update the title of this thread. What was discontinued was the old SKU (part number), not the product. This happens constantly at IKEA as they shift production and packaging around to meet demand and margin requirements.

What would you like it renamed to?

I'm glad to read this. I went to IKEA to get some furniture for the new house, and wanted to pick up another one. They were totally out of stock and didn't display them any more. Good to know they are coming back! The new version just must not have reached Bolingbrook, IL yet.
