"A Good Day to Die Hard?" Really?

These titles are getting silly.

I can just picture the rest of the series.

"To Live and Die Hard in L.A."

"A Kiss Before Dying Hard"

"Die Hard Darkman Die Hard"

I'm down for another Die Hard movie. The only bad one to me so far as been #3 which I didn't think was worth a darn but 1, 2, and 4 were all pretty cool. I would have to say #2 is actually my fave of the series so far.

Are you smoking crack? #3 is my second fav after #1, if not the same as #1. #2 l didn't really like, but 4 was so damn bad, didn't like one thing about it.

Nope but thanks or asking. 3 is for me the weakest of all of the films. Willis was ok but Jackson sucked bad I thought.

Still love DH1 best, but I find myself watching 3 most often. The dialogue is snappy and great and the action and pace is so intense and fast. The ending I admit is a little meh, and I totally think they should have gone with the original ending where Simon gets away and McClane tracks him down months (years?) later and kills him!

I've pretty much forgot 4 as soon as I watched it.

I pretty much agree with this entire post. Live Free was entertaining but not in any lasting way. I've never had a desire to watch it again. With a Vengeance was kind of cool but MAN what a pedestrian ending.

Bad guy gets in helicopter, McClane stands in the parking lot of a gas station, shoots a little wire, chopper comes down. The end. Bleh.

McTiernan was awesome in the 80's but his 90's films left something to be desired (though I do love Last Action Hero in spite of itself.)

Geez, don't even get me started about McTiernan! That batch of movies: Predator, Die Hard and Hunt for Red Oktober are absolute genius. Perfection. To have made those 3 in a row is incredibly impressive. I didn't like Last Action Hero, but thought DH3 and even Thomas Crown were excellent. 13th Warrior was rather boring considering it's a movie about freaking Vikings! And Medicine Man was just kinda there.

Then Rollerball happened. There is no recovering from that.

Filming has started and some set pictures/videos have begun to show up in various places. Only Bruce Willis on set as far as I can tell, no sign of Jai Courtney or anyone else yet.
The apparent logo for this film as well:

Pretty sure 4 killed it for me but of course I will go see this. I'm hopelessly curious about sequels to classic films. As I mentioned in the Prometheus thread, and maybe an earlier post here too, if I don't like it I will simply disregard it in my personal view of Die Hard canon which so far is just 1-3.

Die Hard 5: The Hardening

Die Hard 6: The Defibrillator-ing

So McClane's been a cop now for--what--45 years?

I can buy Willis as McClane for one more go.

Harrison is the guy too old to play Indy.
