A little advice about Hot Toys Robocop V.1

I still feel better knowing that my figure will have nothing to do with that piece of crap movie.

Give me a break here. I will put my ROBOCOP 3 GUN ARM version (NOT FLIGHT PACK VERSION) side by side with the ROBOCOP 1 and I bet you couldn't tell the difference between the two figures. Slight paint difference thats it. NOW before you go and get your underwear in a bind about my comment. You SCORED on getting your ROBOCOP 1 figure at that price. Good deal there. But as for it being the only one to get... MY ASS. For the guys who want a ROBOCOP 1 and missed out and a ROBO3 with GUN ARM becomes available PICK IT UP. You wont regret it. Mike

I haven't seen a RC3 figure in person, so you're probably right. Perhaps I was being a bit harsh there. I'm just happy to have the first version because I think RC one & two rock. I really don't like anything that has been put to celluloid after RC2, that's all.

Yeah bro , you were being harsh. I didn't care for ROBOCOP 3 the movie either. But as for the ROBOCOP 3 GUN ARM figure, it looks as good as the ROBOCOP 1 figure sided by side. Now , WHO WOULDN'T want the original ROBO1 figure. But if you missed out on getting that fig. and a ROBO3 GUN ARM is available I would tell a fellow ROBO fan to pick it up. It's really a good rendition. Just a slight paint diff. AS for the ROBO 3 with FLIGHT PACK... I have it displayed without the helmet on for a different displayed look. I have my ROBO 3 GUN ARM displayed in cool pose. I would have liked to get a ROBO1 just for the collectability of owning a VER1 but i am happy with what I got. JMO bro. Take it for what its worth. Same, i'm a hugh fan of the original Robocop and everything after it, including Robocop 2 is a big NO for me. I own both the Robocop V3 versions so i can display one without the helmet. Although the face sculpt on the Jetpack version isn't exactly Weller, it sure is Weller-like and not at all Burke-like. I display them with neutral sideshow stands so that all that was robocop 3, is washed away.

Congrats man, VERY good price indeed, trust me!

I have a v.1. and had a Robocop 3 w/gunarm. There was NO DICERNABLE DIFFERENCE in the paint or sculpt between the two. Only difference was different box art, v.2 gunarm accessory, and v.2 Robocop 3 stand.

As pjam mentioned there were some issues with the paint on the back of the head rubbing off against the tray. Luckily mine only has a very slight smudge, barely noticeable.

Same. I have the same 2 you have and the gun arm version is IDENTICAL to V1. Both awesome pieces nonetheless.

Yes, but on the other hand the removeable helmet sits too high, while the version 1 sits perfectly.

Which is why I never swapped my v1 out for the Robo 3 version But it's still the only feature I would have liked to see on the v1, provided it had been done right.

Still kinda hoping Hot Toys does a Robocop 1 battle-damaged version from the scenes at the steel mill at the end of the movie. If they're still working on Caine, at least it's a possibility.

As far as I'm concerned, the only reason Hot Toys made figures from Robocop 3 was that they wanted to release more Robocop figures, but couldn't directly release more of the first one. So they use what is essentially the same figure, slap an extra accessory on it and call it "Robocop 3." So yeah, as figures they're basically identical. But from an emotional standpoint, I'd still rather have a "Robocop" figure than a "Robocop 3" figure. Do you know what I mean? I wouldn't let it stop me from buying the Robocop 3 version if that was the only one available.

By the way, BBTS is having a 20% off sale on many in-stock items, and I still had my Robocop in my "pile of loot." So, I was able to cancel it and then immediately order it for 20% off! Came to $135.99.

Interesting...I had never tried that, but I mostly preorder stuff from BBTS.

I bought Robocop 3 Hot Toys version for $90 at a Toy Convention earky this year. Other than the damaged box the product was mint. Best money I'd ever spent.

I got my Robocop yesterday. No problems that I can see, although it was a little tricky getting the head and legs on. Very nice figure. I also got a new camera today after almost 5 years, so I thought I would test it out.

Congrats Icruise! As far as ED-209 is concerned, I have had mine since day one and have had no problems what so ever. They are both amazing pieces.
