Just got back online and I am speechless.....without a doubt THE best Harrison Ford sculpt I have seen!!! I hope this ships pretty quick, like Bespin Luke did. Get ready for Friday gang, the servers are going to catch fire!!! Trevor is the man!

Ummm....anybody want to buy a Bespin Han?? Smoke free home , pet free, blah blah blah:rotfl

How does a fantastic sculpt turn into the painted version? That unpainted one is dead on - the painted one looks very different! WTH is with the Paint apps?

I think as Sean said its more the lighting in the pic than tha paint.

Here's one of the images painted crudely with Photoshop.

Would you expect to get the figure in hand and have it look like this?

Based off of this image.

Now, again, I'm not trying to put down Sideshow's photography, as I know and fully understand their approach to their product photos, but one negative about it is that sometimes the forms are lost in a flood of light and the work isn't best represented. I knew as soon as the preview for Han went up that a great deal of the 3D quality of the sculpt was lost in the lighting and an entirely distorted perspective on it was created.

Now that I'm seeing the whole head, I think it's a number of things that make the promo pic look bad. The worst part is the way the pic is cropped. With the full height of his rockin' 70's hair cut off, coupled with how low it falls on his forehead, it makes his face look fat. Also, his hair is almost black on a black background, making his somewhat pasty face stand out even more. Now that we see the full sculpt, everything falls into place.

I was really worried about this one. I hate to criticise, and I don't know if it's the fault of the photographer, painter, or layout artist (most likely, IMO), but it is almost criminal the way that teaser pic abuses this beautiful sculpt.

Keep it simple. We know who he is without the spaceship parking lot behind him. It's a fairly iconic character...:D

cool photoshop work, Sean!!! I dig it!! I still can't do that stuff...I've tried, but I don't have a knack for the digital :D it's great to see!

I can imagine that since Harrison is hard to sculpt, he's likely a pain in the butt to paint too. (and also painting it with the factory in mind) I know I had a lot of trouble getting photos that showed what I was seeing in person, too. (hence the freaky huge gloved fingers you see in those pictures...I had to tip and tilt him in the light to get something decent)

Ford's got all the ingredients to be a pain for EVERYONE! :D And we love him for it!

Thanks Trev. Open to debate is the hair color on Bespin Han, but all in all, I think they capture han with paint on that figure, and I'm confident they'll do it with this Han, just need some alternative imagery to get a better idea of what it'd look like on our shelves.

I have to say I'm also really impressed with the hair sculpt here. Unlike Bespin Han, this one seems to have that mangy, unkempy look on the sides that the OT characters had. I'm not expecting the prod paint to be able to emulate the correct coloring, so I expect a repaint for the hair, but damn the sculpt is a great start.

Wow, just wow. Maybe trevor could show us a picture of the unpainted Han sculpt, if he is allowed to.

Looks like my prayers have been answered. The sculpt looks sensational. This is my favourite shot.

Looks like I'm in for this...... just need to find someone to repaint it!!!
