All I know is that every time Medicom announces something new, this forum gets a new fire for the Medi vs. SSC war. It never ends. Medi is fine, if you like your characters overstylized, expensive and with horrible wrists..

SSC may still be using the Buck.. but their likenesses are top notch. Clothing can be hit or miss, but that is with any company. Price is also a big thing here too. SSC gives us the figure, stand, and a ton of accessories... for a third of the Medi price. That is huge, and easily decides where my money goes.
That said, if both were the same cost and I had to choose... it would still be SCC.
I can promise that once my Han ships, and I do paint him... He will blow the Medi out of the water. Trev did a fantastic sculpt, it's under there.. I'll show it to you.

Repaints don't count IMO. I'm glad you have the skill, but it's what the company puts out that counts!!
I was looking at the 360 of han and I agree with DA. With a repaint the likeness will be there. Although SS's factory paint may surprise us. Maybe.

I'm not trying to start a war, I can just see one simmering already. And the Medi stuff, when it does come out, it starts spilling it's way into every other thread... with comparisons being thrown out there...
It is what the company puts out that makes the difference. BOTH companies haven't updated their core body across the board yet, I have issues with both of their bodies. I hate the Medi wrists so much I can't stand to look at them on my shelf. At least with SSC, I can hide the fact that they aren't super poseable. Medi skimps on accessories, that is huge to me... and for the cost... it stings even more. Both companies have paint issues. Sideshow needs major work in that area, Medi as well... Their skin tones and lip colors are way off IMO...
Yes, I can fix it... But I understand their are many who can't. I am not in any way trying to lord my "powers" over them at all. I wish they all shipped with perfect paint, so everyone could have the Han they wanted when they bought it.
I guess I am just tired of seeing this happen every single time Medi shows a few figures. It starts out civil and we end up with random comments here and there in a million threads... It just gets old. I'm sorry if I offended..

I wish we could see some final pics so i can make my decision about this or the medi one.
(The medi has the RAH and this is STILL on the buck so medi has the edge there)
If the paint is good i may just keep it and deal with the buck since i need a Han bad!

Didn't say you were, but those comments SOMEONE will take wrong.(medi vs SS is a very delicate matter around here which it should NOT be)
I hear ya but ^^^^ has been pretty tame around here as of late. And i attribute most of that to chavez's lack of presence. I think most people have been quite good!
Yeah, some production pics would be nice. About the only thing I really don't like so far is his white shirt. The rest looks good.

I think that comes down to preference... The Buck has that "I have a board taped to my back" look but I still hold it over the RAH body. The RAH has the horrible wrists, easily breakable, horrendous feet and the tiny neck that makes some of the sculpts look too big...
So it's a matter of which one has flaws you care about...

People have been good, but like Palpatine... I foresee something happening sooner or later. It always does. Sparks have gone off in other threads, comments here and there. Gasoline splashes, so to speak.
That said, I TOO would love to see some Production pics. I think the proto was brought down by bad paint.

I happen to love the anakin and it's hard to enjoy talking about it with people when every other post is a purposeful slam by someone trying instigate something. People's opinions are fine, if they don't like something no problem. It's the people i've already seen (won't call them out) that seem to try to light tiny sparks.
But it's a toy board with nerds and SW nerds at that what can ya do ?

It has been because there haven't been the Medicom Pwns SS or the SS Pwns Medicom stuff. Everyones been allowed to enjoy the figures and actually talk about them. The comments I've seen towards the Medicom pieces have been fairly constructive but I can't say quite the same going towards the SS pieces. Thats what starts this stuff. The two Medicom figures look nice but sadly look little like the actors something I require for the price. Thats been my only gripe about the two Medicom figures.
In the end if everyone is happy with their purchase thats the main thing.

Can't wait to get my figure. The ONLY thing I'm going to change on it is the boots. I have a pair of medicom Luke Jedi boots ( same as the type they are using on their new Han figure ) as I saw their potential early on. For me this will be the ultimate Han Solo figure.

It's a tired jab now, but that MediHan will be double the price off SS's, so it should have a better body.
But as said, a $25 True Type solves that issue, if it is a issue for someone. I doubt people get as dramatic with the poses as they claim they do.
Sideshow does need to throw up some production pics. Something tells me SS tried to get Han out the door before Medicoms version became known.
Thats something I've always wondered how crazy do people get with their poses. Most generic poses you can get with the buck or the other bodies as well. As these bodies improve it just makes the things people might want to get crazy about easier if they REALLy do get crazy.
RAH > TT both are good though and anything is better than the buck.
But i'm also lazy and would rather not soak the head in hot water pop it off put it on the TT and undress then redress the figure......But that's just me.
I'm big into poses, well i'm even bigger into the natural look which the buck don't provide IMO. I dunno why SS would wanna get these out the door fast cause of Medicom, unless they think their product could be inferior. Or that Medi fans thought they had no choice till now. I want to see pics before i decide which one i'm getting. If the SS Han looks good then i think i will just stick with that.(since the Medi Anakin is my must have)
