2 days before pre-order and let the chicken-little syndrome comense!

Seriously, we all know that:
1) Proto paint is always different
2) SSC photographs poorly
3) Figures almost always look better in hand
4) We go through this every time :D

Don't start freakin' out now... we still have like 6-9mos to get bent out of shape before she'll even arrive!

I like her. I think she looks great.

The dress issue, if you have one, can be fixed by putting her on a short Obitsu body. Leia should be really tiny -- the top of her head hits Han's shoulders. Not sure what body SS is using for her, but if anything she looks a tad tall to me. I don't see the "big head" someone mentioned.

Ok, after my little eye paint freak out, I have to say other than the eyes looking off to the side, I'm happy with this piece and really looking forward to her.

I never found her all that hot.

In that film, not so much, though when she first sits up and looks at Luke in his Stormtrooper gear, that's a pretty sexy pose, but for me, it's metal bikini all the way :)

Wor-Gar, your comparrison highlights the limitations of this scale, you can't make the cloth wrinkle and hang like on a full scale, but I think for a 1/6 representation it works really nice.

To bad you can't pose her hips tossed like that with a SS body. I see a Takara coolgirl swap.

Takara might still be too tall. I'm thinking Volks/Obitsu -- they're really small-framed and will help with the dress length too.

The gown is too small. It doesn't bunch up properly at the waist nor does it flow around the legs. Also, the dress is too short. Hopefully, Sideshow will fix it, because this figure needs a lot of work (plus the paint job looks bad as others have noted). Sideshow could use elastic like Hasbro. So far, I think the Sidshow face looks better, but Hasbro has Sideshow beat by a mile as far as the dress is concerned. Maybe I can use the Hasbro dress. The Luke looks AWESOME though.

Cheers,

Brad

Yeah, its always tough.

But a good water treatment and some hand-placed wrinkles here and there and it will be much better... I promise.
