Hi folks,

I'm 28, and have been involved in this hobby, to some degree or another for about 10 years now. My focus is principally on Terminator, Alien and Predator collectables; however I have a few pieces from my favourite video games (the Sideshow Master Chief is awesome).

Until recently however, I wouldn't have given a thought to the prospect of spending over £400 on a single statue. That changed a couple of weeks ago; when I decided to drop about £900 on the Sideshow Alien "Big Chap" maquette. I don't even have a good place to properly display it! I now have visions of buying the Predator maquette as well. Dangerous territory!

On the display front. I'm new to the whole Ikea "thing", so I'll probably need to make a post in the relevant display forum to enquire about Bestas and the like. I have a few Detolfs from Ikea, but the volume (and physical size!) of my collection is outgrowing these.

:welcome to the :FREAK: show blrhous :wave

Excellent taste my friend and great choice of first SS pieces.
Why start small when you can go big! :clap
It really is an amazing piece. I know some folks couldn't really get along with the pose -in particular, the way the fingers are posed- but I think it adds a great deal of character.

Although you won't get your BC in one
I see, that's unfortunate. I'll maybe need to get something bespoke for it.

Many thanks!

You down for a Big Chap LSB to go with your Maquette?
Yep, pre-ordered the exclusive edition a couple of weeks ago.
