A Swede as the new Robo

We shall see. I liked Verhoeven's original, but I don't hold it up as any kind of masterpiece, it was deeply flawed as are most of his movies. I'm sure Total Recall will be a big improvement so why not this?

I think a more 'I-Robot' ish would look cool. Atleast you Robo fans will get more figures no matter the quality of the movie

Weller did an OK job, his acting skills were on par with the overall production value of the original, but I think there is room for improvement.

Its fun that the term Sweded has become so big on the youtube scene, it started out with a couple of swedish kids doing it and now they pop up everywere, the image you liked to i belive is from an american sweded clip...

Read an interview with P VErhoeven , reason why Weller was cast isn't so much because how he looks when he was Murphy, but how he looks when he is browless and hairless, Verhoeven refers Weller as having the look of an eerie puppet like Manequinn man, its subtle but I think it was spot on casting.

That being said Kinnaman is a great actor, aside from the Killing, he's in this Traffic esque Swedish thriller trilogy Snabba Cassh ...fookin beautiful film
