Then Stan and Jack's Fantastic Four would be a great place. Marvel Knight's "4" is also a fine place as well. Both Jonathan Hickman and Matt Fraction's runs of Fantastic Four and FF. I'll look for the specific issues with them for you when I get home, though. I was actually introduced to them through the Marvel Knights run. But with these runs, I think it shows people that they really aren't X-Men rip offs and are completely their own thing. I really think this will be the Game of Thrones of Marvel if they can execute this right.

That MK Inhumans run with the Jae Lee run was pretty darn good. Hickman's Saga, especially New Avengers has some great Black Bolt and Maximus material in it. Ellis' Karnak is a twisted and miserable, but brilliant, book as well.

Man, I thought Hickman writing Avengers, New Avengers, Infinity, and Secret Wars were all brilliant, not to mention his Fantastic Four. As you said, he especially writes an amazing Black Bolt.

What years were these around? 80s? 90s? Earlier?

Well the Stan and Jack stuff is obviously in the 60's. Marvel Knights Fantastic Four and Jae Lee's Inhumans are both from 2004 and 2000 respectively. And Hickman's Avengers, New Avengers, Infinity, and Secret Wars are all 2012-2015. Brilliant, brilliant stuff. Oh yeah and Hickman's Fantastic Four and FF should be like...mid to late 2000's.

Black Bolt's tv budget suit :lol

ABC's "Marvel's: The Inhumans"

I don't think he's wearing the full costume here or it's more of a Regal costume compared to a battle one. Either way, I'm sure he'll have the headpiece as well as the tuning fork and this'll look better with it. I can't wait to see Medusa and Crystal though! But the budget is supposed to be even bigger than usual cause IMAX is helping finance it which is pretty awesome. The fact that they already have Lockjaw at a great size makes me excited.

He'll probably get a slightly more accurate costume if it gets renewed, just like the Netflix shows.

Man what a disappointment and this is the main issue I have with TV shows the budget is clearly not there which make it even more Strang as this was supposedly in production to be turned in to a movie so clearly they should had better designs and this is the best the can come up with its looks so cheap.

How can they not use this inhumans_cover.jpg

As a reference and come up with something that looks like quality . Costumes in TV shows always look cheap. It's just a costume surely they have a budget for it.

I really hope that's not BB's primary costume. If DC can do Supergirl, Flash and Arrow in pretty accurate comic inspired costumes, and Netflix can do Daredevil propwe, why does Inhumans have to fall back to the X-Men black leather with piping? This looks like one of your typical cheap villain of the week costumes. Maybe this is just his walking around duds so keeping hope alive until the actual promo pics are shown.

Sooo let me be clear, everyone is getting their panties in a bunch because they saw one single picture of a character and he's not dressed the way you hoped?

Nerdz.

Half the time the costumes and potential for nice figures are the only saving graces for comic shows/movies

*cough*BatmanVsSupermanSuicideSquadFlashandSupergirlTVshows*cough*

So I think that could be forgiven.

Re: INHUMANS

Reel News Hawaii describes the scene as sort of a grand entrance for Black Bolt to the public eye. He shows up in the street via Lockjaw’s teleportation, causing a taxi to crash. The driver gets out to confront this weirdo in a black outfit and commotion ensues with local Honolulu enforcement arriving. People start surrounding them and begin taking photos/videos with their phones. Black Bolt yanks a phone from one of the people’s hands and points it at them as if it were a weapon and then takes off running. We’re guessing that like Thor, Black Bolt has no idea what these contraptions being used by civilians are and assumes it’s a weapon. The crew then removes the stand-in for Lockjaw from the scene implying that Lockjaw teleports away from the scene.

So....yeah I don't think he's wearing his full costume here.
