I love the Roman General figure...and if their LOTR line is anywhere close...we are in for a treat!

I am hoping that this line COMPLIMENTS the Asmus line...I think there is room for BOTH to be successful!

I am hoping that maybe there is a way for Asmus to distribute the ACI line to the States. Not sure how the rights work but if Asmus has the 1/6 rights here and ACI has them in Asia then maybe Asmus is within their rights to work out a deal with ACI to distribute their 1/6 figures over here.

Very interesting idea...I will ask Asmus if this is something they have considered or if it is even within the license language.

I would say ACI would be better quality but we will be old and grey waiting like we do with Sideshow for each figure.

LOL...welcome to the thread! ACI is pretty sketchy with their plans so far. What we DO know...license is strictly limited to Hong Kongna and they plan on doing 3 figures per year. They have yet to announce lead figure...

More to come surely...especially with Asmus Toys announcing their first LOTR figure on the 20th of this month (only 5 days away!!).

Last I spoke with them...they plan to release 2 figures THIS year (2013)...but they are not releasing any information as of yet about the first offering...

Since they are specialists with armor (Roman General), I would be guessing an armored figure...maybe Uruk-hai or even an Armored Eomer or Theoden.

I really like the ACI Toys stuff.

I have Sparatcus and just this mornin I got my Roman General and he is wicked....once you put the SOB together!

I am confident they will do a great job on LOTR!

Man, it's insane that after the hiatus of 1/6 LOTR figures, all of the sudden we're getting 2 companies making them!!
