I would be interested to know why you assume this. ACI has issued no such statement to suggest this.

This is curious too as you guys have plans for so many figures yet you release teasers/behind the scenes pics of the same characters just after announcements from ACI.

Bad form. This kind of strategy doesn't help anyone.

It is. I promise :) As soon as official pics have been signed off on hopefully it will come through.

You work for them,
you should ask them yourself.

By all means, I am dying to tell everything.

Believe whom about what?

By the way freud is not an ACI ghost account :lol

I don't know what to believe, seems like a lot of information has passed here about limits on the line and lots of promises about what's getting made and what is being reworked. Its all a bit confusing for someone who's just excited about getting more LOTR figures.

Sure seemed like freud was an ACI rep in disguise. Which is fine if he is. If he's not though I'm not surprised; fans are usually the worst shillers of all.

Anyway, like I said, this will all come out in the wash at some point. We'll know what's what. I just hope its soon.

Oh ok - I see where you're coming from.

But no - no need to an insider account. Bryan has never been one that is completely removed from interacting with the customer base.

I've never been a fan of Asmus' product in general, and now them coming into the ACI thread lobbing bombs and trying to sling mud has just kind of sealed the deal. I'm never going to buy an Asmus product.

Let's all get along. People will buy what they want based on what fits their budget. If both turn out great they will buy.

I see no reason to set Asmus and ACI against one another. Between the two companies we have a chance of finally getting a line of high quality, high end LotR figures. Hopefully there won't be too much overlap early on but Aragorn is an excellent opportunity for both companies to set the likeness bar. Competition can often be a very good thing. I'm planning to buy whichever one I think looks best, but it's possible I might end up with two Aragorns.

As we have always seen from information on forums, perhaps not everyone has all the information - so let's leave it at that.

The best way is to make Aragorn based on different parts of the movie. So one is from Helm's Deep fight, and another is Weathertop Strider, or something like this. It could be WIN/WIN situation.

Are there any hope for some updates and new pictures of Aragorn, or some outfit details?

The Aragon shown a few pages back looks absolutely incredible. Definite purchase!

Hope to see a legolas dome to the same standard one day.

I have 3 ACI bodies, and they all have stiff parts at one part of the body or the other. Two had still hip joints. Broke one hip, didn't dare touch the other. The 3rd had stiff shoulders, so I do not dare lift the arms up.

According to Asmus, ACI only have the license for Aragorn and Ringwraith.

it was my understanding that Asmus meant that ACI has only pumped out 2 (Aragorn and Ringwraith) figures and only has one up for PO while they (Asmus) have produced 4 no including Aragorn. Kind of like saying they've been more productive with the LOTR license than ACI has.
