Yes I saw them on your Mr T/B.A. Baracus, excellent work there mate, in fact I like all the figures you've done :wink1:

Enough sucking up haha....

Yesterday I purchased a naked 40th Action Man off ebay (approx £14) because I was fed up of waiting for good vintage ones to appear, made sure he had normal eyes because I wanted to see the difference in the head sizes against the eagle eyes version.
It's clean and v.good condition, so if I end up using it I will only have to remove the scar.

Also, I purchase some t-shirt transfer paper to customise the t-shirt which finally arrived. I'm well happy with the tee actually because it looks a bit scrappy/raggedy, making it pretty much a punk style :)
So, that will give me something to do when I receive the transfer paper.

I've been thinking on how to make my own button badges for the leather jacket.
I did want them to pin on/off but I've been unable to find any pins small enough, so it looks like they will be a glue on job or maybe some small sew-on button and put a decal cover on top.
I could also try shrink plastic and wouldn't have to worry about any decals, I would have to test out the shrinking effect to get the correct size (25mm = approx 4mm in 1/6 scale) and finding the best colour saturation.

I'm going to put a stop to all my buying for a bit because my bank account isn't looking very healthy but I think I've got enough to get on with for a while :lol

Cool glad you like him pity the fool that don't:)
Interested to see how it goes with your t shirt and trasfer paper and making the buttons as I hav'nt done any of that before.
Wanted to make a t shirt for a couple of my figures but not sure how so I will knick your methods if they are succesfull.
I know how it is money wise, I keep buying and have so many unfinished projects because I don't stick to the ones I start.
I blame this place keeps giving me ideas:)

haha love that line ;)

Cool no problem, I hope I can get a good method for both to share with everyone.

I've looked at various customs on here and they put mine to shame... I wish I could afford a proper head sculpt! Maybe on my next one :clap
Yes, I had to stop looking around this place because there's so many good ideas and I originally only wanted to do this one.... I've caught the bug big style!!

Anyway, back to the Captain....
The Action Man arrived today and after playing dress up for 5 minutes I was a bit disappointed but I know everything needs customising yet so I'm sure it'll look better when I've done everything :)

Here's the 1st version before customising:

Probably said all this before but...
Beret: needs shaping
Chain: needs shortening
Leather jacket: needs a lot of work
T-Shirt: will have graphics applied
Head/face: Rivet to be painted to hide it a bit, scar to be removed & probably whole head a repaint to be more pale.

Onwards and upwards....

Just been given a great idea on how to make the belt look studded...
use normal dressmakers pins, push them through, cut of the excess and bend over inside the belt... voila a studded belt :yess:

To get a good likeness of the captain you might be lucky and find a dragon headsculpt out there that resembles him or you'd have to commision someone to make him (costly for commision)

Personally I would'nt bother and just do it as cheapley as possible just for the fun of it.
This is one of my favourite customs I've seen and it uses the old action man head.

Yours is off to a good start have fun and don't worry about others figures looking "better". The fun is in the creating I think anyway;)
