Wow! Where did you get that done? I read somewhere, the procedure involves heat. How does the polystone withstand the heat? Warm air from a blow dryer can make it soft already...???

yep, the SS will always look better chromed.Congrats.

it took a while but was well worth the wait! :chew

Chromed all the way :rock

what was the turn around time for the service ?

turn around time depends on Gary's schedule. i believe his main business is automotive. chroming statues and busts are a side thing but it looks like it's taking off. turn around time for me took about two months (emailed 10/05, status update 11/24, and received 12/01). i didn't have to pay until it was ready to ship. total was $107.26 shipped.

have you seen some of the other chromed statues he's done? captain marvel, etc.. amazing!

it was a very pleasant experience dealing with him and Kristin!

Very curious about the process. I've read somewhere, that chroming statue's comprises the use of heat. Polystone becomes soft when treated with heat; I don't know to what extend though. Cool to see that the figures survive the treatment.
I wonder if the chrome could start to flake in time?

there have been reports of cracking on the chrome Vader busts made by Gentle Giant.

i'm not sure what chroming process was done on them though.

That looks real boss. One of my favorite Bowen statues. Where's the contact info for the guy that chromes these? I may just do this!

Is it chrome plating or metal desposition chrome paint?

i'm not sure of the exact process. i believe he used a SpectraChrome or a
Cosmic Chrome machine systems for this.
