This totally took me by surprise - his PR person said that he was doing better and not critical. I always enjoyed watching him in movies and loved his comedy style. I just watched the Ocean movies a couple weeks ago - and he was one of my favorite characters. RIP Bernie.

i was never a fan of bernie mac's comedy but he was respectable talent in all that he did. truely is a sad day.

Wow....what is worse is that I read on another gossip site about his hospitalization for pneumonia making fun of him for going in. They said something like "Bernie Mac Dying...Not Really" or something along those lines. People forget how scary pneumonia really is, my dad had a really serious case a few years back and he was hospitalized for almost two weeks.

He'll be missed. I just watched the Bernie Mac show last night too..

Well I hope those other people feel like real ^^^^^^^s now. I used to work at a hospital and pneumonia is a very serious thing....I had it once - fortunately not bad enough to stay in the hospital - but it laid me up for about 3 weeks and it was absolutely the worst I have ever felt in my life.
