In last year's issue of Toy Fair which had the Indy PF on the cover, the Tom Gilliland interview he STRONGLY hinted we would be seeing Henry Jones and it sounds like he meant it was going to be from Sideshow, not the Medi one.

I didn't know that. OK, so hope after all.

Of course, SS says a lot of things that they never come thru with: Fellowships, Bond Villains, etc. So I wouldn't take a hopeful promise as a definite done-deed.

That said, Henry's a pass for me. No interest in Indy's bumbling dad.

I don't see SS doing a Marion worth getting. She'd have to look extremely real and near perfect to interest me. I'd love to see a Hot Toys quality bar scene Marion someday though.

I could certainly go for Henry, him and indy posed next to each other on my shelf would rock. Having said that i would take any character from Indiana Jones (wallet permitting) and believe me i have a long list of wants, as i do with star wars and as i did with lord of the rings not to mention GI Joe. (Oh god i need more money)

I'd love to be a fly on the wall at Sideshow's product meetings and see what goes through their heads in determining what products to release and when. Seems like Star Wars always gets top priority while everything else is just an afterthought.

I've been holding off on Medicom's Henry Jones in hope that SS will make one. All I want from Raiders is Map Room Indy and Ceremonial Belloq. From TOD a Mola Ram, Short Round and TOD Indy, and Henry Jones from Crusade. That's it.

SS probably had many ideas and figures in various stages of development before the floor dropped out from under INDY.

The last figure -- if there is a last -- would most likely be one that SS knows will sell well. Regardless of the movie order.

Everyone knows Mola Ram would sell much better than Marion... and Henry Sr, I just don't see LFL approving, what with the awkward recent history with Connery.

So I would guess Mola Ram.

Marion maybe, if she can be done cheaply -- which scares me -- and up the price with a Map Room Floor display like they did with Belloq. Those that got the idol display paid good money and a high profit margin for SS to get it. So if Marion uses that formula it could work for her. On her own, she won't sell much.

But I'd love a great Marion too. Hell, I'd love to get a slew of characters. I just don't see it happening based on the demand. The mass interest for anyone other then Indy is just not there.

Stuff that! If they're killing the line then I don't want the last figure to be another villain. Give me Marion or if not then Sallah or preferably both thus having Raiders rounded off. Medicom did Henry Sr so he's not a priority.

With the slower moving 12" lines if there is one still to ship there's hope. If Toht ships and we still have no new announcement then it's time to worry.

But I have a feeling that won't be the case...

They probably do Star Wars first cause it pays the bills. I'd bet there are more Star Wars fans out there that would buy any figure released by Sideshow than Indy fans.

If they can't sell that many, they don't make money. We saw the edition sizes for Belloq and Toht. They weren't that many.

I am hoping that whatever else comes out, if anything, they have a much lower es.

If no Marion comes out we should get together and see if Chris Howe would take a commission for a Marion. His Sarah Jane Smith is pretty good so he can obviously sculpt females well.

A couple things do concern me about this line. 1. The Belloq exclusive is still available even though it's ES is only 1,000 (although I can understand since his price is so high). And 2. The Regular Toht is still available for pre-order with an ES of 1,500. These are fairly low edition sizes and they're still not selling. I'm sure the current economy may have something to do with it since people are cutting back. So it's almost just plain old bad luck that SS has this line out now when no-one wants to buy anything!

Yep, Indy's gonna take the hit over things like Star Wars or new movies.

Crystal Skull didn't help generate much interest once it actually opened.

And low ES with units still available is a bad sign indeed. Not even 1,500 Toht fans? :(

I don't think SS can make it worthwhile to offer a Marion at 750 ES. Maybe. Depends how much they already sunk into this I guess. Something's better than nothing sometimes.
