I noticed the great writing, cinematography and acting, but not the tan lines on Ward.

May could use some more refinement. They still have her stuck in Black Widow mode. She needs an episode where they re-invent her.
Some good points in the article. I enjoyed the scene this week with Fitz and Ward. They have a lot of unfinished business, I wished they'd stuck with that a bit more.
I'm glad they got away from the "must stand around on the self-flying airplane" formula.
Better use of Simmons in this episode too.

I noticed that too. I guess she was happy to comply. After "Da Flush" pilot I was kinda shocked by the lack of quality and decided to watch first three episodes of this show...
It's not great but in tone with MCU. Solid scripts, an OK directing and nice actors. I'm entertained

I just took that as seeing how she reacted to the brainwashing before giving her anything real to do......making sure she didn't fight instructions or melt down.

LOL. I did notice his arms seem buff, but yeah, no tan line notice from me

- Absorbing Man was perfectly done, they better find a way to bring him back this season.
- Ward still manages to be uninteresting though probably because the actor hasn't sold me on his various motivations
- Skye is still annoying though somewhat mitigated for the time being due to her mysterious origins thing arc. Kyle Maclachlan's presence is welcome.
- The more May softens up, the more natural she feels. Ming Na is not very good at the no-nonsense thing.
- Biggest improvement so far this season has got to be Fitz and Simmons. They finally get some added dimensions, esp. Fitz. I gotta give them credit.
- Now with Coulson as director, this show finally feels like it's firing on all cylinders.

Watched the first 2 episodes today and am really happy with the way the season has started. I stuck through last season hoping it would find its way and it did. Glad to see its actually a little better so far. Absorbing Man was freaking awesome!

The other day I was talking to a friend who is relatively new to Marvel, as he just got caught up on the films over the last year or so. He asked why Hydra has all the super powered guys and SHIELD has none. I wonder if they'll rectify that soon.

Although she doesn't have powers, Bobbi Morse (Mockingbird) played by Adrianne Palicki will be making an appearance on AoS this season.
