We should start a new thread nominating, no make that, naming Andy Bergholtz as Custom Sculptor of the Year, no make that Century.

Honestly, Andy has done the best sculpts, used innovative techniques such as separate hair and head pieces to give it that little extra refined 3D look, absolutely knocked it out of the park on Obi-Wan, Anakin, Ah-nuld, Skinner, FB Scarface, 1/4 Scale PF Han, have you seen his unpainted sculpt of 1/4 Han? it's crazy great-- the list goes on and on.

Hate to sound like an obsessed fan, it's just that as an Artist I appreciate talent and quality and Andy encomppasses all of that in his work product.

Hi Andy, I love your sculpt. Those pics really do look like Arnold himself...truly remarkable! But my question is, have you guys considered fixing his sunglasses? Currently, the lenses are too large, covering up a disproportionate amount of his face. I think this is one of the reasons people say his likeness is off. Just as the Skinner eyeglass lenses are too small and too close together, Arnold's are too large. If you guys could fix this in production, I think it would help his likeness tremendously. What do you think?

Here is a reference photo for comparison:

I can't believe that Ar-nuld is still at 40 pieces! How long's it been there, a week? 40 lousy pieces can't sell out in a week? I hope this doesn't scare SS from continuing with more T-800 and T-1000 versions.

Why does no one want Terminator anymore? It's all Star Wars, STAR WARS, STAR WARS!!! (yep, I have 'em all too)

Anyway, we need Sarah, Battle-damaged T-800 and Cycle-Cop T-1000 before this line is finished. Please....

We desperately need John Conner. Otherwise, what is the point of the Terminator and T-1000? :monkey5

If you guys can remember the days of exclusives before Star Wars and LotR, then you'll remember it sometimes took months for the exclusive to sell out, even on popular lines like Buffy and Modern Horror. Both of those lines seem to be still moving, albiet a bit slower than they were, but they are still moving. Heck, they are still keeping at it with the X-Files. I hope we can at least get a Battle Damaged T-800 and hopefully even a biker T-1000. I think someone in the chats said a Sarah Conner was in the cards, but I don't think the demand for John is there.

I'm diggin your new Avatar, bro!

Yes, SS has indicated we WILL be seeing a Sarah Connor, most likely a little later in the year! I'm hoping they do at least one variation of Sarah. I'm sure the first will be the buffed Sarah in familiar hat and gear from T2, ready for battle and It'll be the VERY FIRST sixth scale Sarah which I'm happy about but I have been waiting many years to see a power couple come back together for all of us to revisit and that is...

Teminator 1 Sarah and Reese. Yes, Sarah will look 80s goofy with her big hair, pink swirly shirt and white sneakers but that's how I'll best remember her

and wouldn't she go just great with a 13" Endoskeleton for posing? Final Battle Sarah and the Endo! Yikes!

Kyle Reese could be done as we remember him as well... trench, shotgun, sneaks, etc. many accessories to choose from too, let's not forget the home-made pipe-bombs for throwing at onrushing 18-wheelers! Hey, they made them together, just before they made the future warrior John Connor.

It's a great likeness and the figure will be my first non Star Wars Sideshow figure (unless I order something else in the meantime!). Does anyone know if there's a 1/6 scale replica of the bike Arnie rode in T2?

Yes! There is a black 1/6 scale Harley "Fatboy" r/c Motorcycle, the same motorcycle used in T2 (LA River chase scene w/Semi).

I would search ebay for 1/6 Harley r/c or 1/6 Harley, they made quite a few of these so you should find a decent choice...

Yep, its great. Real sounds -- revs up, honks, drives, etc. I got it about a year and a half ago for an anticipated Ar-nuld. Now I finally have a great version to go on it. Plus, if you get bored, its remote controlled so you can drive it around the park.

VA-ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

I think peolpe unfamiliar with the olden days of SS think a figure not selling in 30 minutes or even in a day see trouble down the line.....I remember, like you, when you could see and exc. with a ES of 500 takes weeks or even months to sell....Not all lines have the fan frenzy of SW...in fact nothing has that kind of out of control following....I dont see SS abandoning this line so early....With SS haveing SOOOOOO much to choose from these days people arent jumping at every new figure....with rising costs here and there its hard to pick up everything.....I kind of miss the days of SS obscurity.....Wasnt it great when you had that feeling that SS was your little secret:cool:2002 seems sooooo long ago...

How can you guys say that the demand for John Conner is not there??? Maybe I'm in the minority but, I actually like to collect figures based on a good story. The whole point of Terminator 2 was for the T-800 to travel back in time to protect John Conner from the T-1000. IMO, the main reason why T2 was so entertaining and memorable was the relationship between John and the T-800. Not to mention, the whole plot relied on the tension of the T-1000's continual persuit to assassinate him.

Just because a character is integral to the story doesn't mean I'll buy him. I'd say the Star Wars fans on these boards, most of whom can be called completists in one respect or another, are split right in half over whether or not they'd want a Jar Jar figure, even though he is very important in the prequels.

The point, for me at least, is not whether or not a character is integral to the story, since I'm not remaking the film in toys. The point is, is it a well-made figure of a character I actually like.

I would not get John Conner.

Sideshow should do a popularity poll before writing him out completely. I think the major hinderance isn't popularity though, but the fact that they haven't made child or teenage bodies yet.
