In regards to 'The Signal': Much shorter than I expected....which explains the relatively cheap price for it (still free for most of us).

It was good, but it was just too short.

Just finished it. Thought it was great. But I agree.. some parts are near "F-this-I'm-Breaking-My-F'n-Controller" frustrating. :lol

Plus it was free. :yess:

Yup. And it's obvious that was done to extend the play time. Which was the only disappointing aspect of it IMO. That's some Konami Contra Old School Trickery type of ish right there. :lol

The part where the electric poles were going on-and-off was a pain in the arse. Loved the DLC, can't wait until the next one

Alan Wake - The Writer (October 12)

This is the last DLC for Alan Wake. Not sure how Remedy went from "there will be multiple downloadable episodes in 2010, bridging the gap between the game's ending, and a possible sequel" to "the next DLC will conclude things and have some intense action"!?

Here's the trailer:

Im sure they planned to have a lot more DLC but i dont believe this game sold as well as they hoped. So they're cutting their losses :(

Well, when the development took what 5/6 years?? I'm not sure what the budget ended up being, but I doubt they would've ever made money off of this game. I liked what I saw so far, but keep getting sidetracked when I want to sit down and finish it.

Completed the game in 2 sittings. Great game IMO. The gameplay does get repetitive towards the end but the story was a treat to follow.

I kinda hated Alan Wake. It had a cool story, and the levels looked nice, but it felt like 10 hours of forest level after forest level after forest level.

the screen tearing was really bad at times.....

I was kinda bored halfway thru it. Other than Barry and Alan, I never felt like we really got to know the characters

I feel this is why I have yet to finish this game despite owning it since day one. Even though the visuals are great, and the story is interesting, I just don't really care for any of the characters in the game.

Exactly, and the funny thing was, it looked like there was going to be tons of character development...

I'm excited because I just picked this up at Toys R Us Buy one get one half of sale for $14.99

I was between this and the Assassin's Creed 2 and this felt fresher and I was more interested. It looks creepy as hell.

Well, I just started this game. I know I'm late to the party, but I love it so far. I've been craving a real horror game since RE5 didn't satisfy that genre for me. I guess this will hold me over until the new Silent Hill game comes out. ( Which I know is still a ways off :()

I dug this game. Eventually gave up at the very end because I borrowed it and I don't like to hold on to stuff too long but the production value is outstanding and the game design really draws you in. There's a nice touch of humor in the middle involving some musicians, too.
When I see this for cheap I will probably pick it up to complete and add to the library.
