Your Drake looks awesome FB!
I still haven't been able to get mine repainted, but as soon as I get my figures customized I'll post some pics.

Looks good, but 30.00 for a nude figure is ridiculous.:emperor

I agree, the Hot Toys bodies are pretty expensive. They are nice, though. You can pick up nudes from the boxed figures parted out pretty cheap sometimes. The problem there, though is that they frequently don't come with feet or hands and both are damn near impossible to find. I'd like to see HT release a hand set. That would be awesome. At the very least, a second set of posts for the second set of hands that is included with the nude bodies would be nice.

drake was a lazy job. my idea was not to completely cover the red of the original hair, but to do a diluted wash so the blonde finish doesn't look too flat. it looks ok in real life, but close up pics show a rather sloppy job. i haven't painted his eyes yet cos i don't have blue at the moment. comments?

Ripley looks good. To remove her eyelashes try using some rubbing alcohol and a q-tip. This will also remove bloodshot eyes which is a simple trick I used on my T-1000 so you didn't need to repaint the T-1000's eyes. As for Drake, the first thing is the sideburns must go, he doesn't have them. Secondly, he looks like George Clooney with those gray highlights in his hair so I would use a more taupe color for the base and lighten it from there to make it look more light blondish.

Nice repaints LW!

Keep that up and I'll send the heads to you instead of Les! :D

(yes I said it) :lol

They look great Lone Wolf.

Dek is right about Drake's sideburns, and his hair is acually sunbleached strawberry blond, or reddish. Couldn't hurt to blend some light red and brown into your yellowish color, and slighty redden it. Keep the highlights, just think light reddish brown otherwise. His hair was very light.

Love Ripley! If ou are not sure about removing the lower lashes, just make a thin paint solution (a "wash) of skin color mixed with just a smigen of the same red brown you use for Drake's hair. It will slightly cover the lower lashes and look about right. You just want to tone them down some.
Or, if you trust your skills with a blade, slightly scrape them off. :D

Either way, it's no crime to leave 'em. Just looks a bit more like her without.

Great work!

There ain't one ! It's a pain in the ass , not only do you have to tuck in the trousers , you have to connect the feet as well !

Damn, I should have wrapped the pants around the ankles before I put the boots on!! :banghead

Seriously though , I warmed the boots with a hair-dryer , pushed the ankles into the boots and then used a flat edged x-acto blade to CAREFULLY tuck the trousers in . Keep heating up the boots so they remain flexible and with a bit ( o.k , a LOT) of patience , they'll get there !:D

Hi guys. I'm new to this board and I'm collecting and customizing the Hot Toys ALIENS marines too. Who is "dboz"? I need a U.S. Colonial Marines patch to put on the sleeve of a blue jumpsuit I'm using for my custom Bishop (I'm using the Sideshow Milennium/X-Files Frank Black) 12 inch figure. Please let me know how to contact "dboz" about colonial marines patches. I would really appeciate it! Thanks!

As pjam and DekaDave said, EVA Models has a great USCM patch set for $6.00 per sheet. You get 12 patches, which are enough for about 4 marine BDUs. Chris has lots of other cool stuff you might want, too. Anyway, check 'em out for yourself, and btw...
