How long do you guys think until they announce an ES ? I really want this but I also like my collectibles to have some value down the line as well and if it's an ES of 3000 then.....

Yeah, I pretty much rocked it, too.

Canceled everything else I had on pre-order. Rogue. Bucky Cap. Etc. All gone. Only this and Cyclops remain.

I was finally able to get the Quicktime 360 degree app to work, and damn. . .this is a fine piece. Over twice the price of a typical PF makes it hard to justify, but I'm thinking I might need to budget for this bad boy.

I was the same way. But with my lack of love for the T1 pf, I knew this was much more affordable now. Just gonna budget a few dollars here and there and set it aside so when the time comes. I won't have to scavenge for the funds.

Most retailers Sold Out pretty fast. So, I'm betting that SSC didn't allocate many to them. Hopefully meaning the ES is being kept to just enough to fill orders. If that's the case I'm betting 500-750.

If the price was lower or if the pose...of the hands...was different then I'd bite. There's just something that irks me with the hand placement that I can't drop $800 on it. Shame since I was pumped for it.

Why now though.I hated them from the preview shot , how did no one in the studio go " hey you guys it looks like his hands got smashed in a door jam, lame".Those hands like an old people in florida driving on the road around here.funny funnny...Im bored at work I never planed on buying this thing ,just chatting.

I'm guessing this piece is hollow,due to it's size and weight of only 25 lbs.The Predalien maquette is about the same size and it weighs 40lbs.Would I be correct in assuming that's the case,provided that the spec's are actually correct?

The chest will be hollow - the rest should be solid give or take. I have the Predalien. It is definitely not 40 pounds - more like 12 - 15. Sideshow's weight specs are mostly wrong.

Also, how did the "SS is fixing up the hands" comments come about? Wishful thinking, or was there some comment made? And are we talking about the hand position, or the fingers?

Silentsurfer said a few pages back that the source of one of the prototype photos claimed the hands were being corrected. I am assuming that means the four middle fingers will be getting jointed together to make two fingers like they were in the movie - although in one scene, when the alien comes for Lambert I think, it appears like one has come unglued - they should look like this picture. I don't think joining the fingers together in a repose or fix will change too much the way the hands curl from the original sculpt though.

I like this more than the cm version for sure. Will be tempting to get if SS doesn't give a new 1/4 Pred maquette this year. Very iconic monster even though I never cared for the first movie.

That would be great if they made them look like that!However, I think if they did indeed fix the hands,it would just be some of the weird finger bends and not the whole positioning of the hands.

I'd be fine with that...the weird finger bends are the thing I hate the most about the hands.
