They did a good job of this one to be fair, it's one of their best creature statues imo. Although I'd seriously love to see what Prime 1 or ECC could do with an alien Big chap opportunity.

I wish Prime 1 would release more info of their Alien line...maybe it will be the "Covenant" neomorph...though i wish it is from the original Alien.

This just sold NIB for 1100GBP on eBay. Seller wouldn't ship internationally (of course!), nor did he reply to my - desperate sounding - messages... So close, yet so far away...

I turned down a brand new one for £700 last year. I had little choice as I simply couldn't afford at that time and with such short notice. But I still regret missing it.

Ouch, that must have hurt... I'd get two for that price! :p

I understand how the very exclusivity of collectibles naturally drives up their prices, but sometimes things get out of hand... Some sellers on ebay are out of their minds.

I just sold mine last month for 1400 euros which was over twice what I paid at only 650 euros. Great statue but I no longer had space for it.

The Prime 1 1/3 Alien will probably cost less than some of the ebay jokers want for their Sideshow maquettes. I'd definitely wait, even if this is the one you really want, it might come down in price if decent competition releases.

That's what I intend to do. I posted on a FB group about the recent BC maquette that was sold for 1100GBP and immediately I was told how the seller was 'a fool' and selling one for less than 1800 euros is stupid etc. I just don't get how some people seem to value their collectible's insane market prices more than the collectible itself.

I personally wouldn't mind if my collection's worth dropped to plastic action figure prices... I don't view this hobby as an investment at all. I just like having the pieces in my man-cave. Never cared for ES sizes, aftermarket price wars etc.

That's what I'm betting on!

Having curious for how P1 could keep their cost so low and read their items' descriptions, It is clear that P1 is using translucent resin as their based material. The same as JP anime figure if you ask me. I don't own their pieces but planning to. How is this doing with heat? How many % polystone in their work? Thanks.

Not even close to anime figures, they use PVC which is not the same as polystone/resin.

PVC is more expensive to do in small quantities and certainly is not "cheap" material. It can be cheap (just like the polystone in our statues is cheap resin) but not all PVC is made equal.

Finally, another of my collecting goals has been achieved. This thing is huge. Bigger than I remember when I saw it in person back when it had been released. It has incredible presence.
