Just a little freaky
Hello,
I want to introduce myself as a fan of Ridley Scott's movie "ALIEN" since day 1 who mainly collects cinematic items like lobby cards, posters or press stuff.
A friend of mine who used to collect the 1:6 Gi Joe/Universal Soldier/Dragon lines brought me in contact with 1:6 collectable figures in general.
He gave me the clue for the Hot Toys "Big Chap" in 2009, which I did not buy at date of release. I had other collectibles with higher priority in mind and needed the money there.
It was Sideshow that broke the ice. The 2009 "ALIEN" diorama with the "Big Chap" sitting in the ventshaft spreading the traces of chains aside made it directly into my heart. Again I was too late but managed to buy this diorama years later in mint/sealed condition. It is still a top piece of my collection. It catches the atmosphere of the first movie very well.
Hot Toys "Big Chap", Dallas and Kane are also on my shelf in the meantime.
It was Ellen Ripley herself leading me here to this platform. Or to be exact, her prototype images of the planed Hot Toys figure.
This forum is most interesting with so many "Alien/Aliens" lovers around and I look forward exchanging views with you.
