By any chance, does anyone out there have an alien warrior maquette with the edition number of 412/750??

because I have a chance of getting this maquette from a not so honest seller. and if someone from this community does have that edition number then it proves that the one being offered to me is a recast. I have no interest in buying a recast, as most of you collectors would agree. and I don't want to spend a lot of money on it only to find out after that its a fake.

Do you have pics of the piece? Post it here if you have. I have the warrior maquette but I'm at work at the moment, so I can't tell you the number off hand. I'll let you know if I have that # or not later when I get home.

I'd go with your gut and if you think this seller is untrustworthy dont deal with um' you'll most likely just end up regreting it.

He's saying he has the option of buying it from someone who's untrustworthy and he's wanting to make sure that no one else has this particular number in their possession.

I am Canadian. but my nationality does not help with the issue at hand. the seller is from china. I believe the seller does have the real 412 but will sell a recast instead of the real one. there is no way of knowing before hand unfortunately. so my initial inquiry about someone having the 412 is moot, since the seller would most likely have it in order to make the recast. thanks anyway guys, appreciate it.

WOW! ok Definitely DO NOT buy this item or trust this seller AT ALL! I originally won an auction for this item back in Sept (item # was 251145289162). I found out he was corrupt and chose not to buy it bc he was (and apparently still is) selling under false pretences. I watched as he re-listed the same item (Ed. # 412/750) for bid, and someone ended up buying it. now thanks to Mockenrue, it is proof that this seller (dmkworkshop) is selling multiple copies of the same item with the same edition number (412/750). only this time he has it up for 'buy it now' instead of 'bid'. I feel like writing to this seller to tell him I know what he is doing but a lot of people know about him and he doesn't care and there is nothing we can do about it. So please guys, watch out for scams like this.

Interesting. I saw this auction too. It's been up for a long time unless he's actually been selling them and posting new ones. Never trust a seller with 'workshop' in their name. Sounds like they're equipped to be making recasts.

If you check this guys completed listings you can see he sold the same statue twice already. (412 ) once on Sept. 9th and again on the 30th. Now its really possible he had non paying bidders as for high items like this...often you will get them and I see no feedback from anyone who purchased this item before. Also I noticed he sold Transformers Optimus Prime Maquette and I would imagine that would be impossible to copy. He has great recent feedback and looks trustworthy to me far as I can see. I understand the concern though.

Scrolling down further in his feedback though, he does have one person claiming its a recast....so, donno now.

Guys, never buy anything from China. Sure there are honest sellers there but also guys like this, and for 1100 dollars why even take the chance when you can buy from someone in the states without the hassle.
