Yeah, it was a total let down for a lot of people, especially the ones who paid for them in advance!

As I mentioned in the "Building Your CMs Correctly" thread, the sculpt has a Gorman-like expression, and I agree it could possibly be tweaked to look much more like him, but to get a dead-on accurate likeness I think it's going to take some essential reconstruction, 'cause the basic underlying head structure looks different from Gorman's, imo.

Maybe if you posted some side-by-side comparison pics it would help to pinpoint the details that need to be reworked. If you need some pics of Gorman for reference, I think there are a couple I posted in the other thread. I could also post some new ones if you want... just LMK. :D

I made a little mail to XENOVIPER with a request to help you guys out.
In the last weeks of last year he was talking about improvement on the h2o hudson head .
Maybe and hopefully he wants a part in your Gorman project also
i think that he can do the trick.

I think I've gone thru every single page in this thread and I was wondering if anybody has some good full-body referance pix/screen grabs of the outfit Gorman was wearing while he was on LV-426. I can't seem to find any good full-body pix or any pix that show his right hip and was wondering about a holster.:panic: I'm putting together a Gorman bash (here's a pic of it) it's obviously in a very early stage. Sorry about the low quality pic.:monkey4 I know he looks really skinny but it's just the angle of the pic, he's actually on a truetype 19 muscle body with what I think is the HT narrow shoulder "Prince Harry" head:dunno and I think it looks pretty good so far. Still needs more work though and I'm trying to see if I can find an old OD green hat I may have sitting in a box somewhere but I'm just not 100% sure that I have one. I also need to figure out what footwear he was wearing in the movie. Any help would be appreciated.

Ugh this thread brings back bad memories of bad men and thieving gits!

Would still love a Gorman one day though, I keep trawling through eBay for heads just in case per chance one resembles that actor, so far no joy :(

Indeed, that ass robbed us from our money.
Did anyone heared from him since this all happened?

I don't believe so, around the same time though I'm sure there were at least two other sculptors running off with peoples money so not 100% sure if it was ever followed up tbh.

For someone that was a "professional sculptor" having worked for multiple well known toy companies etc etc he turned out to be one of the biggest ***** I'd ever had the pleasure of dealing with. His website is down, don't think his email works any more, he is long gone.

Wow, I'm sorry, I didn't realize some bad hoodoo went down with this whole thing. I didn't mean to bring up any bad memories. I glanced thru every page in this thread looking for some good pix of Gorman from the movie but I didn't read the posts so I didn't see that some crooked stuff might have gone down. It seems like alot of the pix that were posted in here are gone now though. Hopefully someone can help me out at some point with some good ref pix.

Seems like that happens alot. Need to wary of custom stuff unfortunatly
Seems theres no protection in place

I had mentioned this in the "Predator Team" thread and the "Building your USCM" thread but it seems pertinent here so.....
There will be a run of all the USCM characters, including Gormans, forthcoming. There will be no money up front to avoid the unpleasantries of the past.
Pix will be posted when available.
The sculptor is finishing up the Predator items first then will move on to the marines.
Check the aforementioned threads for images of his work.

What I did was pop in the Blu Ray and look through the bonus material to see pics and stills of gorman. His uniform has a very Viet Nam era resemblance. He has his BDU's and a jacket and his holster is on his right side attached to his belt. Of course that look changes later in the movie. Sten475 mentioned to me that I should put the bandage around his head until somebody releases a headsculpt :lol. I used the Chris Taylor BDU's for my Gorman along with the boots from Taylor with a white t shirt under it. There are some great patches you can use in the how to build your marines thread - here's the link - https://onesixthscaleking.com/shop/ad...&Submit=Search

I've not run accross a good headsculpt of him in my searches so let's hope a good one becomes available that actually looks like him and one we don't have to pay $150 for!!!!!!

Thanks for the info Staps. I don't have the Bluray but I will see what I can figure out. From what Ironman1188 says, it seems like we might get a good Gorman HS some point down the road, great news.

If you have the quad dvd the same info is on that too. A good headsculpt is all i need know and i'll be happy with my figure.

Yea you're right a-dev, he was Ambassador Standish in the first Downey Holmes movie. Looks completely different now though, but that's what 26 years will do to ya I guess. I don't even wanna think about the fact that I was 16 when Aliens first came out back in '86, yiiiiiiikes.

I was glad to see hes still around. Gorman had a good little arc in Aliens, going from being an incompetent prick that Burke had to push aside to a complete reversal of that later on when it turns out Burke is the real prick and Gorman redeems himself.

I know it has been said this thread brings up so many bad memories, but my single pic didnt warent its own thread! So this seems to be the most appropriate place to post it.

My own personal "bashed" Lt. Gorman!
