I got my Prometheus art book and Aliens Technical Manual today and love them both! Lot's of reading in my future. I really loved the section on the Deacon.

What the hell is it with Sideshow?? The Alien and Pred(namely the Pred) stuff they're putting out is just crap. The P1 dio is much better than the P1 statue.

Is there a good place to find current values for my HT Preds or other HT figs? Displayed but with box and loose with no box. I may have to sell some of my Preds or other HT figs to make ends meet unfortunately. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Recently re-read the old Dark Horse Aliens vs. Predator series and was wondering if there are any good collected volumes of Predator comics you guys might recommend?

One thing I've always wondered - why is it custom for the predator to skin some people, and take the skulls and/or spines of others? It seems like they only skin less-important kills. We can't say for certain what happened with Hopper's crew, other than it looks like they were all pretty much killed at the same time. Same thing for the gangs in Predator 2. I think all the main characters he stalks, he takes a bone trophy from, rather than skins them. But why do they take the time to skin them? Just to defile the dead? They don't eat people. There've only been, what, two predator who have had fur pelts, but never any with human skin. I don't know, does people skin leather up well? (Has anyone talked to Ed Gein?)

Dark horse has made "Omnibus" volumes of all 3 major lines: Predator (3 vols), Aliens (6 vols), and Aliens vs. Predator (2 vols) .

Some are easier to find that others. I picked up some later ones at the local used book store for ~$10, but some of the earlier ones go for $50-100 on the secondary market.

I must warn that the aliens ones feature "Billy and Wilkes" (names changed from Newt and Hicks after Alien 3 was released...).
