All Mondo X-Men Animated Figure Thread

View attachment IMG_8472.jpegClassic Cyclops showed up today. Scott has always been a personal favorite and this figure just continues my feelings. I love it. Can’t decide which I prefer, silver age or modern. Good thing I grabbed both.

Jubilee got delayed till tomorrow for delivery. But at least my Scott body replacement arrived! Love seeing the two looks side by side.

Jean, storm, beast, prof x for sure. I would then add Psylocke as my 5th.

I hope the line goes deep. I want archangel and regular angel. Bobby Drake in his x-men costume and in all this ransparent plastic glory as iceman. Pyro, mystique and avalanche. X-factor. Bishop, Cable, Forge and banshee. Mr sinister, apocalypse and Sauron.

Obviously Jean (and as Phoenix, Marvel girl and dark phoenix). Storm, Beast and professor X to round out the team.

Didn’t we get a Morph head with one of the prior figures?

I wish Mondo would have sprinkled in some more of the “lesser” X-Men heroes and villains in between the releases thus far.

I like how they’re mainly releasing big hitters thus far to build momentum for the line but afraid it might run of steam before the “lesser” characters get released.

Probably some collectors tap out once all the main X-men cast are released.

All valid points but it's also possible if they sprinkle in too many lesser characters and not enough of the heavy hitters that will impact the line and they may have to stop due to low sales.

For me personally, I think it's important to go with the heavy hitters and finish of the main core team. Maybe during major conventions they can have some of the lesser characters as exclusives...though I always hate exclusives lol

I was just pondering which other figures they'd add in to extend the line. I could see Archangel, Bishop, Pyro, Juggernaut, another Wolverine, and another Magneto in between those remaining team members. Mystique and Mr Sinister have got to be in the mix as well.

Cable is another good option. Pyro might be unlikely. Cable and Bishop would both need a new bulkier body, so they could share parts. Pyro is unlikely because he'd probably need a leaner body, not sure who else would use a similar body type. Maybe Nightcrawler?

Does Mondo really care about reusing bodies? Is that something they even do outside of a few variants?

The Batman line has shown that a character being reusable doesn't dictate what they make. Each character has their own unique sculpt and build. These aren't traditional 1/6 bodies. They're 3D sculpted as-is with the clothing acting as their body. They're not a jointed body with 1/6 clothing on top. Mondo doesn't really seem to have a fear of making someone as long as the line itself is still selling well.

Yeah, I'm sure all the female figures would share the same body. White Queen is another one that I forgot that would be a popular choice.

Now, you've got me thumbing through my TAS art book ... I forgot all about Colossus. But really, so many characters showed up in the show, it's silly. They have the opportunity to do X-Factor, the Classic X-Men, Alpha Flight, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, the Mojoverse characters. Captain America showed up too. The possibilities are endless.
