As far as I know just the 37 episode run.

I'm on Episode 15 or so now. Man, this show is very dark. It's one of those that I said 'well, just one more ep....' and here I am 14 episodes later. :lol Very clever.

I'm anxious to get back to Bleach though. I finished the Aizen arc, but I'm watching only one ep. a week through CN. I don't want to watch the subbed versions because I'm too used to the dubbed voices at this point. I'm thinking of just starting the whole show over again to refresh and watch episodes that I've missed.

Its great show the first arc is awesome the second lets just say not good as the first.

I agree, the first half is absolutely brilliant stuff. The second half isn't as solid but the ending is well executed. I'd recommend another anime called Mirai Nikki if you're into Death Note as far as suspense goes.

Another anime I wholeheartedly recommend is Hunter x Hunter if anyone is into shonen like DBZ, Naruto, or Yu Yu Hakusho. Great, smart writing, character development, and action. The current Chimera Ant arc is just freaking insane! :panic:

I think I just hit the second arc of Death Note because the show is starting to suck. Something about a corporation working with Kira....all of which is coming out of the blue. No transition. No real explanation at this point. It just is. :lol

Yup that's part 2 :lol

Yep, that's what I was afraid of. :rotfl

Sometime I wonder how shows like this go THAT far off of the 'path.' I'm sure they'll tie it together by the end, but wow....this is out of left field to say the least.

Yeah, it's as jarring as the death metal ending song for the 2nd half of the anime. :lol I think is mainly due to the fact that
we never really see any of the complex relationship dynamic that Light had with L. At least for me. None of the other characters really held my interest as much as L did.
. That said, you should try and stick it out through the end.

Going through this thread, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the closing of Bandai in the U.S., back in February of last year. The prices of their older DVDs have increased drastically on Ebay.

Yesterday, I managed to pick up the DVDs for Gundam 0083 for $49, after I saw how expensive the individual disks were selling for :lol. It wasn't very popular in the States, so I doubt that Sunrise will re-release it for sale in the U.S with another company.

I loved Death Note, but the 2nd half was weak.

I only saw several episodes of Death Note. I really have to revisit that series one of these days.

All hail PTP sharing!

Well, the proliferation of peer-to-peer file sharing is one of the main reasons for why anime DVD sales have slumped over the years. I'm not going to get on a high-horse, because I've done it myself :lol. But, I always buy the series that I like the most. Also, the visual and audio qualities of the original DVDs are far superior, to the files that were compressed and uploaded to a Torrent website.

Anyone watch fairy tale? The way it ended sucked!!! Anyone know if its going to continue?

Yea I watched fairy tail and hated it. The whole friendship thing annoys me so much. I can take it from naruto and other shonen but that is absolutely annoying. They like never lose and it's all fan service.

Yeah, though I'll probably get this cheaper version without all the extra books and things (as much as I'd love to have those):

I see that for whatever reason a few seconds of violence have been edited out (like the guy who famously gets decapitated when the SDF-1 transforms). Too bad but I still really want to have this in high definition.

Thanks.

If you think Death Note is dark... you would probably have panic attacks from the more "horror" stuff out there lol :lol:lol
