I think Masterpiece Megatron V2 should be something like a scaled down version of this only with less diecast around the joints.

Takara should remove the transformation from the equation and do the best possible robot they can.

It should also be made to scale with MP10, not Ultra Buttflap.

It would be kind of hard to justify the Masterpiece Label on a non transforming robot. I agree it would be somewhat better, but unlikely to ever happen. Thing will transform.

I think if Takara use Hegemon as a starting point a significant improvement on MP05 can be made but it depends who designs it.

Thanks for the link. That Megs is looking damn good so far,I think I might bite the bullet and get him. As far as an MP Megs I want the best bot mode possible too and am not concerned as much with the gun mode. MP05 gun mode and the G1 gun modes are perfect enough for me. And I have no doubt an MP Megatron will stand face to face with MP Optimus.

If money and display space were no object I'd snap it up without question but those two things are something I have to factor into any purchase and whilst I could afford it, I'd only be able to do so if I missed out on a few other things that I want more so I'll just wait for the new Masterpiece and hope it's robot mode is an improvement on the previous one.

I saw Scorponok last night and was impressed, just as I am with MakeToys Metroplex.

But I don't care enough about either character to want to pay the asking price, I don't know how much Scorponok will be but it's likely to be similar to Metroplex which would cost me the equivalent of about $565 plus shipping.

That Megs looks awesome, but the trick is getting one to transform into a screen accurate gun that still looks that good. C'mon, MP Megatron!

Hell that didnt even cross my mind ,gonna have to think of where to put him lol. MP Megatron in the new scale is my biggest Decepticon want,I pray they dont screw it up. Besides him Im dying for the Insecticons. Hopefully with next year being "the year of the Decepticons" we'll see them. Really need a new Skywarp too,the incomplete seeker trio kills me.
