my henkei starscream just arrived at BBTS and is now in my pile of loot. now the skywarp/thundercracker set is tempting me pretty bad but i dont want to drop that much money on them:monkey2

i konw but why $150? i have the hasbro version of skywarp here and its not even a complex TF that would wow you or anything. he's a tiny piece of plastic for gods sake. id sooner buy the non articulated G1 versions for that much. at least they had some die cast parts.

If you're asking why it's so expensive, it has nothing to do with the what the figure itself is like. It's the same reason that the Toys R Us, Target, and Walmart exclusives that BBTS sells are so expensive (often more than double retail prices). They have to buy them at retail -- probably off of store shelves like any other customer. Having these be exclusive to a Japanese store obviously makes everything even more expensive. I personally don't think they're close to being worth the money, but if I was more of a hardcore TF collector I might.

Not bad at all.

Anybody here be interested in a repainted Megatron Voyager to match the darker color scheme of the actual character. I'm talking about the animated one. If anyone would be interested in purchasing it once I finsh shoot me a PM. Also if you'd like to see some of my early, and I mean early, Transformer repaints, just look in my threads for the most recent "For Sale" one. It has all of my customs for sale.

From The Digital Bits...

"Here's the biggie: Paramount and DreamWorks have officially confirmed that Michael Bay's 2-disc Transformers: Special Edition is coming to Blu-ray Disc on 9/2. It looks as though the set will include nearly everything that was on the HD-DVD version (including the Heads-up Display option), along with BD-Live features to be announced. All the video extras will be in full HD. Get this... audio will be available in Dolby Digital 5.1, Dolby Digital Plus 5.1, Dolby TrueHD 5.1 AND Uncompressed PCM 5.1. Again, we're told that the film itself also has a new video encode, optimized for Blu-ray, supervised by Bay himself. Nice. We'll post more details and artwork as they come in from the studio.

Transformers fans will also be pleased to hear that Paramount will release the most recent Transformers: Animated Season One as a 2-disc set on standard DVD on 8/19."

Got my Revoltech Prime and Ultra Magnus from HLJ today. I got both for around the price that BBTS is charging for just Ultra Magnus. I thought it was interesting that there is nothing on the UM box to indicate that he is not Prime -- they just reused the Prime box with no alterations, although the "obi" (paper sash that goes around the bottom of the box) may have been different. One cool detail is that they included a set of hands with UM that allows you to have UM and Prime holding hands (in a very masculine way, of course...)

I wish I could afford them Revoltechs. I really want them. I also want to try and repaint Starscream to make the seekers, and repaint a Prime to make a Nemesis. post pics when you get them.
