This movie masterpiece series just keeps getting better and better; opinions on the movie aesthetics aside, it's remarkable how close to the CGI model this new Ironhide figure is considering that it actually transforms. They even got his big dumb head & chunky kibbly legs right!

He does look really screen accurate, however it looks like he’s a bit too small in the newer pics where he’s standing next to BB. Wish they had upsized him just a bit.. Aesthetically he’s perfect otherwise.

Yeah the scale with Bumblebee is a bit of a letdown, but I think what happened was they originally made Bumblebee too large; as you can see in this image Ironhide seems to scale correctly with Prime:

I will say that his legs do appear to be somewhat truncated in those event photos compared to the official images, so I think it’s possible he could be stood a little more upgright to help make up the difference in height.

I'm now just paying attention to the newly released MP cassettes pack, and thought the Decepticon bot looked familiar. So, I looked up Wikipedia and was right. That guy was initially attached to a Transformers radio that I had as a kid. This is a pic I found from a Google search:

I can't believe that guy was given his own name, and now has a Masterpiece figure! Would love to pick just him up.

Here's my comparison between the new MP-12+ Sideswipe (anime colour edition) and the original MP-12 Sideswipe. Definitely prefer the new in bot mode, but original far better in alt mode.

Takara threw a bone to collectors of G2 and the Michael Bay films, and I'm glad that they did. But let's get serious. G1 is where it's at, so get R done, Takara.

I don't see the big deal to warrant replacing my original Sideswipe.The bigger autobot logo and grey tires isn't helping either
