Got MP hound. I've heard lots of complaints about QC, but no issues here that I can see. I really love this figure. Wasnt sure Takara could top Fans Toys. But once again they did.

One of the first molds of the rebooted TF Masterpiece series that really took the toyline into a period of amazing releases, and the line has never looked back.

I think I have enough of the Lambor mold now. I hope they release more Diaclone repaints of some other molds they have done yet, like the Ironhide mold!

The Fuso mold is definitely one of Takara's most elegant. The transformation engineering is amazing, with the collapsing of the ladder into the chest being a true Masterpiece moment.

Couple that with cartoon accurate robot aesthetics and it ranks right up there with the best in the MP series.

This MP-21 mold was certainly great for its time, but I think it's definitely superceded with the new MP-45 Bumblebee mold, especially for bot mode. I still prefer the more realistic car mode though, which looks great with the other realistic carbots.

What do you guys think of MP 44 Prime?

save your money and pick up TE-01
accomplishes almost all of the necessary things that mp44 does at a 1/4 of the price. or wait for the inevitable ko that will come down the line. the RIDICULOUS price for mp44 is absurd to pay.

It is absurd but I have a hard time believing a ko company can recreate that transformation of the MP44 and I think it?s one of the reasons Takara chose to make the transformation so ridiculously difficult. They know they will be the only game in town.

Those other two companies Prima look good but I like the Takara version better.
I?m gonna buy it but I?m selling a figure to do it. Lol. That might help it sit better.

actually the ko companies and takara often have some of the same people and there is cross over between them. the ko companies often will use the same molds that takara has as there is some shady business that goes on! also the complexity isn't an issue. the MP36 megatron was hailed as an engineering feat with the complexity of transformation and such (on par w/ mp44) ... the KO is better than the official. better joints, no paint chipping, more solid etc... the IT-01 megatron is the bomb... and 1/3 the price of the ridiculous takara price.

Holy **** it took forever for Nippon Yasan to finally ship their stock of MP-47 Hound, and here it is! No breakages or cracks straight out of the box, but I know I'm going to be sweating bricks transforming this thing!

Video review and thoughts up soon! :D

Took me almost 3 hours of painstakingly slow transformation to get it into bot mode, but man it's a gorgeous figure! I used Emgo's transformation video and it went pretty smoothly! I made sure to test out and fold each panel supporting its hinge, and it seemed to help everything connect together.

Luckily I dont have too many major issues to complain about! There is one tiny crack on the neck armature, and a couple of small paint scrapes on the thigh and bumper. But overall, this thing is fantastic! Now I just hope the plastic doesnt fail over time and I get more cracks from just sitting in the display cabinet!

Wait what? The only reissue I'm aware of is the Walmart one without a trailer. Which one are you talking about?

Nope , it’s part of the new G1 rise series ( think that’s what it’s called )

These are to pay homage to the original cartoon bringing back Wheeljack, Hound, Bumblebee , prowl, Cliffjumper etc and of course Prime
