Battlechargers assemble: Runabout also moved in a few weeks ago, forgot to post.
These looks great together!

Also did the sticker mod, but I'm gonna post that in a different post...

Also got this guy on Friday: ThreeZero's MDLX Comic Edition Megatron.

How are you finding these 2?
They look so good & I've be hovering over them for so long lol

Loved the original toys as a kid & they look like fantastic renditions of them

Neil

Nice. Though the ft galvatron is the best figure version of that guy, I feel they have progressed a lot since he was released initially, as evidenced by the new guy you show. Probably warrants an update.

Thanks buddy
Lol yeah taken so long to get to this point that Galvatron feels a bit behind the times.
I can't believe how long ago he was released now...feels like a lifetime

Still I wouldn't mind getting the toy version of him at point, those colours are just fantastic

Got the Iacon Labs chest pieces in today for my FT/RP Acoustic Wave. They’re pretty nice overall but a little overpriced I would say. Still, I like not having a sticker on the stock chest and this gives me both animated and original toy options. I opted for no cell shading for mine

Trip down memory lane for me and maybe a few others here. In my elementary school, these were actually confiscated from students. You weren't allowed to have toys in school. ( People would steal them from each other, fight, ignore the teachers in class, start disputes on the playgrounds over "trades", etc)

I wanted one of these so bad all the way back then.... LOL. :lol

Some questions, if no one minds.

For ToyHax, for the decals, do they ever do a yearly sale? Black Friday? Anything? Anything to know about them or their label sheets for a beginner?

I've also been looking at upgrade kits, and is there, again, a time of year where it's better to pool up your money and go after one big buy, i.e. a big annual sale somewhere. Is it better to buy them from Ebay, or a dealer, etc, etc. Any distinctions to consider in general with upgrade kits?

Is there a useful battle tested strategy for loose joints? ( I'm guessing on things with a ball and socket, you can put something on the ball end, and it would dry, but over time, wouldn't that just wear down too? Etc, etc)

Does anyone make a type of carded set for weapons? ( I see upgrade kits for specific figures, but no all out pure gun kits with the 5mm handles, etc) I'd like to find the most cost effective way to get as many blasters as possible ( I've been picking up loose figures but many don't have accessories/guns/etc)

Thanks in advance for any help and/or advice and/or guidance.

They tend to do a yearly black friday sale. but they also tend to have stuff on sale and stackable with coupons. Would be a good idea to sign up for their mailing list.

Their decals are pretty nice overall and can really add to certain figures especially newer stuff that more than likely is lacking in paint apps and for those of us who aren't that great at painting Transformers.

I tend to use an xacto/hobby knife to initially lift the decals off the edge, then take a pair of tweezers to finish peeling them off the sheet completely and then apply them to the figure.

The tried and true method will always be the super glue method; however, it requires one to be extremely careful on the application and drying process. Probably not the best idea for beginners.

Another method I like to use is clear nail polish hardener. Clean the ball and socket with rubbing alcohol and let air dry. Then, coat the ball joint and/or the socket in the nail polish hardener, let them dry completely for a couple of hours. Repeat as necessary to get the fit you want. Usually once is enough though. This method will last depending on how often you "play" with your figures.

You can do the same application above but with finish floor polish from what I've heard but haven't tried it myself.

There's another product ppl have been using called Kiki I believe but it's sort of pricey. I also think ppl found that it's just a water based floor varnish in a tiny hobby bottle :lol I think you can get a can of floor varnish and your own applicator bottle for about the same price of the tiny bottle of Kiki.

Gipetto is spot on with everything I was going to add.

ToyHax does do a yearly Black Friday but it's pretty much just on TF stuff. I have been buying from them for years and the Transformer stickers go on sale regularly, but I have never once seen the GI Joe stickers go on sale. I've actually got just about my entire MP collection decked out in Toyhax labels and most of my vintage collection aside from a few that could still use restoring.

I'm also going to second clear nail polish for tightening loose joints. I frequently use it on older GI Joe figures with loose joints, but occasionally Transformers and a few Go-Bots. It will eventually wear down, but these are display pieces in my collection and don't really get transformed/played with any more. I've heard of the floor polish method (usually Pledge) but I'm too skeptical to try it for long-term restorations when I'm already happy with the current methods I have been using.

Not aware of any real comprehensive sites for accessory card sets for figures, but there are 3D printed options for a lot of modern Transformers. There's the occasional aftermarket option depending on the figure (such as my MP Prowl and Bluestreak having aftermarket rocket launchers) but you may have to look around a bit. Some bigger figures will have multiple different kit options, such as the Titan Scorponok. Depends a lot on the figure and what you are looking for.

They're great!
Far from perfect, yet still highly enjoyable!
Big MP hole stuffed, so to speak. :lol

Thanks buddy, yeah think these are likely to be 2 we'll never see official figures of lol
Just seen that Toy colour variants have gone up for pre-order, I may hold out for them as they are the ones I remember the most
