Could someone put a clip of Optimus in the animated movie when he owned the cons. The part when "The Touch" song was playing. Shows how badass Optimus is, I would put it but I don't have access to youtube on my work computer.

Thanks Ill Jedi, I remember a few years I went to a botcon and they was playing the movie in another room and once I heard "The Touch" scene all the dorks and geeks went crazy.

It was the writers that killed Prime..can't blame young Hot Rod, i mean if it was not for him we would not had seen other cool Transformers like Galvatron and Cyclonus.​

Man, we're back to this topic again? I posted this ages ago when all the anti Hot Rod / Rodimus sentiments popped up, and I still stand by it:

Don't get me wrong, I cried my eyes out for days back when I was 8. But I never bore this hate for Hot Rod that you all seem to have. In fact, he's one of my favorite characters to this day. And Rodimus was barely given a fair chance in season 3 to grow, since Hasbro got tired of all the threats from parents and brought Optimus back. I thought it was cool to have a more "human"/imperfect leader, which allowed for more depth of character. Then again, I think the original '86 Transformers movie is THE pinnacle of the franchise to date, so most would probably think I'm crazy.

Hot Rod DID NOT kill Optimus. Prime's main weakness - his compassion - did him in. He was not going to pull that trigger once Megatron started pleading for mercy.
