The thing is Takara Ver has no tattos on it since ROTF was all about the Decepticons coming out no longer hideing and thats when Starscream added the tattos it feels like thats a big miss in detail for me... I already bought the normal Leader Starscream Im happy...

Having seen side by side pics of the two there's no contest as far as I'm concerned, Hasbro's may have the tats but it still looks cheap & nasty.

Give it a few months and Takara will inevitably release a ROTF version with the tats and that's the one I'll be getting.

The lighting in the side by side shots is really unflattering for both figures; I don't know why he took the photos like that. The head of the Takara-Tomy version is definitely where the most obvious improvements have been made, but like Buster Prime to me it's all about the little details scattered about that Takara-Tomy paints while Hasbro does not.

No mention of the Hasbro Piranacon/King Poseidon re-release? I still have a wonderful MIB Japanese giftset but it's going to be nice to have a reasonably priced one to display.

I'm pretty excited for that as well. I remember buying that King Poseidon giftset at a local hobby store that I used to live by for about $400. Sold it a couple months later for only $500 I placed my order for the 2nd batch though just in case there's any problems with the first, although the very first review hasn't been that good I'll still get him regardless

Well, I got mine Friday and he is awesome. Real subtle in his paint apps, of course Takara could've gone the extra mile and included more damage but it's a dead Prime. How cool is that?

Ordered it from an asian supplier that's hooked me up a few times, ordered it and the number 19 Encore, so that's a lovely collection of re-issue cassettes I have now.
