lol, I'm in the same boat! I don't know that I'll get the other Seekers, but Ratchet and Ironhide are a must have, if they're going to be G1/MP style. I'd also like to see Prowl... I was SOOO disappointed when Alternators Prowl didn't use the Smokescreen/Silverstreak mold - beginning of the end for me. I ended up getting fed up with Alternators and sold them all off.
Dude, you should've just picked up the Binaltech Red Alert, switched their heads so they are both more G1-accurate, and picked up the Reprolabels. I did that, and the Prowl is still one of my favorite Transformers I have.

This is actually a commissioned piece. The customer originally wanted a ROTM Human Alliance Bumblebee, but being I am so damn behind on most projects, I took the liberty of upgrading him to a Dark of the Moon Leader Class Bumblebee (plus, he's an ok guy!)

Client also requested non-transforming, which gave me a little more freedom in the creativity department. I pulled some unnecessary alt mode parts off (ie windows, back panels and others)

Some features :

- LED eyes
- LED cannon blaster arm
- Articulated thumb/wrist (left hand)
- head lifted and ball jointed
- realistic wear/tear and details
- custom build kibble on leg backs

Excited and anticipating MANY other figures from this line, but - gotta squeeze them into my schedule.

Looks like iGear is doing an original mold,

https://www.igeartoys.com/?page_id=604

As Ironhide is part of their PP line that means it'll be in scale with Faith Leader.....so it and the inevitable Ratchet retool will also fit with the Classics :)

I hope the design is better than the Universe/Henkei mold although that's not exactly difficult.

:eek :eek :eek :eek

Might have to get excited about that.

I finally got my hands on DOTM Voyager Megatron and Leader Sentinel Prime after constant hunting. Sentinel Prime was a bit of a doosey to transform, for me at least. Now I only need Leader Ironhide and Voyager Shockwave and I think I'm done with the DOTM figures unless something really catches my eye. Still debating on the Dual Model Kit Optimus.

And that DOTM Leader Bumblebee looks AMAZING franzy_rumble! :rock

Really like the Leader Ironhide, will be searching for that one, but as far as the other DOTM toys... until they reveal any new Leader figures, particularly Megatron, I just don't have any interest in them.

Not bad at all!

I did pick up an extra Silverstreak on sale, with the intent to do a custom. I didn't really know how to go about it though. I used Krylon spray paint on parts I probably shouldn't have, and just gave up.

I'm a little more savvy about that now, so it might be an option down the road. I'm just not sure if I want to try and get the Alternators again, or just wait to see what iGear or other third-party groups end up doing. Who knows, maybe we'll get proper Hasbro/Takara MP versions of Prowl and Bumblebee, too. You never know...

Or I might just get into the whole Classics line. Do they fit with the smaller MPs like Starscream and iGear Prime?

It would be awesome to see either but at present it's extremely unlikely.

Although the mold has great repaint potential Prowl isn't important enough a character for the Masterpiece line and even if Has/Tak thought otherwise it depends whether Nissan would allow use of their cars.....I'm guessing they didn't for the BT/Alternators line which was why the Nissan trio got different alt modes.

Bumblebee would have a better chance of being made from a popularity standpoint but still won't happen because VW have refused use of the Beetle.....a New Beetle version for the BT/Alternators line was proposed but VW rejected it because they don't want to be associated with "war toys".

Scale is always a tricky subject with Transformers and there's no perfect solution even if you mix lines in your display.

Here's how the MP's fit with the Classics,

Optimus Prime v1, Megatron, Rodimus and Optimus Prime v2 = Too big

Seekers & iGear Coneheads = From a realistic standpoint actually work a lot better than the Deluxe Classics versions as F-15's are much bigger than sports cars, trucks etc.

Grimlock = Using the cartoon as a guide Grimlock was a bit taller than Prime and towered over the rest of the Autobots. Works fine even if you have Classics/Henkei Prime although he looks even better with Faith Leader.

iGear Faith Leader ( scaled down MP Prime v1 ) = Works extremely well with the Classics.

iGear Horror Commander ( scaled down MP Megatron ) = Looks like it'll probably be the same sort of size as Faith Leader.

This is a commissioned piece, using igear's "faith leader" (mini-Optimus Prime) And is non-transforming, but has light up LED eyes (controlled by an on/off switch on back) Also added is an embossed Autobot symbol on his left shoulder.

Just got Faith Leader from fellow member Deak (thanks!), and so far, he's not bad. He doesn't feel like he has the sturdy, higher quality plastic of some of the better Hasbro toys, but he doesn't feel like the cheaper knock-offs I've picked up from the Dollar Tree, either.

I think the scale is pretty durned good with the rest of my display collection (apart from MP Megs, of course). And I'm happy to have this because what is a group of Transformers without Prime? Will still keep an eye out on MP10, though, and see if he can't dethrone this guy at some point.

One issue with Faith Leader, though, is that his chest won't seem to stay completely closed. There is a slight gap there, because it doesn't snap snugly in place. Anyone else experienced this problem.

Hmm, guess some company like iGear is our best bet then. If they're willing to do a conehead Seeker set, why not a Nissan set? I'm sure people would buy Prowl, Bluestreak and Smokescreen.

I hope some third party is on this as well.

Gotta love China's disregard for copyrights!

Yeah, I figured that.

I guess I'm more concerned with how the robot modes look. What's your take on that?

Grimlock = Using the cartoon as a guide Grimlock was a bit taller than Prime and towered over the rest of the Autobots. Works fine even if you have Classics/Henkei Prime although he looks even better with Faith Leader.

Yeah, I've seen pics with Grimlock and Faith Leader, and they look great together!

I haven't seen any pics of Faith Leader with Classics figures though. In fact, I don't know much about the Classics line(s) at all...

iGear Horror Commander ( scaled down MP Megatron ) = Looks like it'll probably be the same sort of size as Faith Leader.

Whoa! News to me!

I mean, it was easy to see coming, but I didn't know this was for sure. Can't wait to get this.

Wonder if they'll end up making Soundwave?

Thanks for all the info, btw!

I found pretty much all of the current released DOTM toys at TRU, was scoping Sentinel Prime but, meh..i can't get into this line, only getting Shockwave. Kind of funny, they put out some Captain America movie figures and there was hardly any left on the pegs, there was more GL figures and Transformers etc.

Check out Powerglide Valfar, he's pretty slick and kind of fits in the CHUG line. I picked up Shockwave and I'll probably pick up Sentinel but that's it for me.

Looks great Sam! And on the chest piece make sure the bumper is facing the right side out. Meaning open up the chest and filp that mother around, that should fix it. Glad you dig him, he looks great with the Alts. And I love your Ironhode and Ratchet, nice use of the Skids/Blaster mold.
